Sarah's Place Preschool

Today was our final class for the year! Thank you all so much for making this a great year! I truly love your children and appreciate the support you have given me. This will also be my last class in Texas. Sarah's Place Preschool will be relocating to Michigan and will begin offering online and in- person classes ASAP. Again, Thank you and have a safe and happy summer!

Spring is in the air!
This week we started our month of spring activities by learning about flowers!
We read fun flower books, planted some flowers and learned the parts of flowers!
Next week: Butterflies!

Happy Easter from Sarah's Place Preschool
The kids had fun with Easter activities, like our egg hunt!
This week's letter was the letter "P" with popcorn and pretzels for our snack! Have a blessed Easter weekend everyone!

"M" is for monkey and M&M's!
Practiced our math skills by balancing the monkeys and counting and sorting (and eating!) M&M's. We used our fine motor skills by stringing beads onto our monkey tails! Next week we begin the letter "N" by jump starting into spring with birds and bird nests!

We started the New Year off with a bang! This week we celebrated the New Year and began our section on Winter and snow! We had fun with puffy paint and reading the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats! Happy New Year!

Polar Express Week at Sarah's Place Preschool!
This week we reviewed letters A-F and numbers 1-6. We had fun with everything Polar Express! We decorated (and ate!) cookies, read the book and finished up the week with popcorn and hot cocoa and a private screening of the film. Two more class days until Christmas Break!

The last week has been fun as we finished up our Letter E with Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, learned all about Frogs with the Letter F and finally had fun learning table manners with A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!
Friday Family Fun Challenge: have a mock dinner party and teach your little ones how to set a table and practice good manners by saying please and thank you!

"D" is for dinosaur!
This week we studied dinosaurs and fossils like a paleontologist and dug for dinosaur bones like an archeologist.
Friday Family Fun time challenge: Read a fun book about dinosaurs and practice learning the names. Don't be afraid to use BIG words with your child. The more they hear the big words, the better their vocabulary will grow! Tyrannosaurus Rex and Brachiosaurus for the win!!

"C" is for cookie! We had a great time baking cookies for our snack time!

Well, another week is in the books! This week we finished up Letter B by learning about Bees, pollination and honey making!
We've been working hard on learning the letters of our names, so this week's Friday Family Fun Challenge is to spend some time looking at books and pointing out the letters that are in their names! As they learn the letters and the sounds they make, they're taking the first steps in learning how to put those sounds together to make words! Have a great weekend!
