Community colleges across the region are stepping up, expanding construction, electrical, and infrastructure programs to meet the moment. With stackable credentials and fast-track training pathways, students can move quickly into high-demand careers that will shape LA’s recovery for years to come.
How do we scale training fast enough to meet this once-in-a-generation demand?

The Altadena rebuild is here.
The biggest challenge in rebuilding Los Angeles isn’t materials — it’s workforce capacity.
Data shows a massive gap between the number of jobs available and the number of trained workers ready to fill them. In response, community colleges are expanding programs, modernizing curriculum with AI and advanced technologies, and creating faster pathways into careers that are critical to recovery.
