Labette Community College Foundation & Alumni The Labette Community College Foundation is a Kansas nonprofit corporation and an Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) organization.

The purpose of the Foundation is to raise money from alumni, friends, and businesses in support of College programs. Seeing the need for endowed scholarships, in 1972 the LCC Foundation became a Kansas non-profit organization. From these humble beginnings, the foundation volunteers have worked hard to attract funds for not only important scholarships, but also for College departments, student acti

vities, community outreach, and college facilities.

As a new academic year gets underway at Labette Community College, the LCC Foundation & Alumni Association is celebrating a special milestone of its own!

Executive Director Lindi Forbes recently received her 25-year service pin from LCC, recognizing a quarter century of service to the College and its students.

Over those 25 years, Lindi has had the opportunity to work alongside countless donors, alumni, volunteers, board members, colleagues and friends who share a commitment to helping LCC students succeed. Through scholarships, fundraising, alumni engagement and other Foundation initiatives, that collective generosity has helped create opportunities and change lives.

“Reaching 25 years has given me a chance to reflect on just how fortunate I’ve been to do work that I truly believe in. There is no better way to change a person’s life than through education, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.”

Here's to the students beginning their own LCC journeys this fall and to many more lives changed through education!

Inspired by the exceptional nursing care his wife, Anne, received during her courageous battle with cancer, Doug Allen has established the Anne Allen Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

Anne devoted her life to helping others as both an educator and the first Executive Director of the Parsons Area Community Foundation. Through this endowed scholarship, her legacy of service will continue by helping future LCC nursing students pursue their dreams.

Doug's generous commitment also qualifies for the Pete and Mary Hughes 50% Matching Fund.

We recently had an inspiring afternoon at the New Board Member Orientation Luncheon for the LCC Foundation & Alumni Association!

We were moved by the powerful stories our board members shared about what inspired them to serve—from someone who returned to LCC as a single parent many years ago and, after a successful career, now gives back to help others on their educational journey, to those who want to ensure current students have the scholarships and resources they need to achieve their dreams, to alumni whose families have benefited from LCC for generations. ❤️🎓

We’re grateful for this passionate group of leaders who are committed to making a difference for our students, alumni, and community. The future is bright at LCC thanks to people like you!

She did a fantastic job! We are grateful for all her help in our department, and we are so proud of her accomplishments. 🎓✨
