💨 First years are learning that when the upper airway gets bypassed, humidity isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it’s airway essential! And who better to teach it than Jennifer, a true staple of the LCC Respiratory Care program who’s been sharing her knowledge (and keeping us all on our toes) for years! 😏🫁 We’re also keeping those listening skills sharp by reviewing breath sounds and mastering proper stethoscope placement.

Our second-year Respiratory Care students are diving into the world of bronchoscopy and getting an up-close look at the lungs using the Anatomage Table! 🔬👀
With Ms. Frizzle (Betty) leading the way, students are exploring the airways, identifying anatomy, and connecting what they see on the table to what they’ll encounter in real clinical practice. 🚍🫁

🫁 Learning to Listen!
Our first-year Respiratory Care students are getting hands-on practice learning the proper placement of a stethoscope to accurately assess and identify breath sounds. From locating the correct auscultation points to recognizing what they hear, these students are building the foundational assessment skills they’ll use throughout their respiratory care careers! 💨📚

Our second-year Respiratory Care students are getting hands-on experience practicing initial newborn assessment immediately after birth. From evaluating breathing and heart rate to recognizing signs of respiratory distress, these skills help prepare our future respiratory therapists to respond quickly and confidently when every second matters. 💙 🫁 👶

Our first years got to take their cardiopulmonary A&P learning to the next level with the Anatomage Table. Getting a closer look at the heart and lungs helps bring what we learn in the classroom to life and builds a strong foundation for their future as respiratory therapists 🫁 🫀
