Last week our preschool theme was CAMPING! 🏕️

We had so much fun pretending to sit around the campfire telling stories, fishing for alphabet letter fish, making jumbo s’mores , and friendship bracelets with our names. 🔤🔥

We also loved our special guest reader and stayed busy with fun crafts like making binoculars and more!

So many sweet memories made while learning through play. 💚

Playing a little catch up from preschool lately! 🤍

We had so much fun on our field trip to Curious Minds Discovery Zone! The kids explored hands on exhibits, played in dramatic play areas, and used their imaginations in so many fun ways.

Children’s museums are such a great space for learning through play our students practiced creativity, sharing, and problem-solving while having a blast! 💙

We had a special celebration in preschool today! 💛

If you peeked into our gym today, you’d see costumes, tunnels, bouncing balls, and lots of giggles…

But what you’re really seeing is LEARNING 💚

Our preschoolers are working on gross motor skills every time they climb, crawl, balance, and bounce! These big body movements help build strong, confident learners.

Green Eggs and Ham day was definitely one to remember! 💚🍳

After reading Green Eggs and Ham, the preschoolers helped Mrs. Hicks make our own green eggs and ham. Each child got a turn stirring… and somewhere along the way Mrs. Hicks managed to set off the fire alarm with a smoky skillet! 😅 The whole school got an unexpected fire drill — thank goodness for smoke detectors!

After the excitement, we finished cooking and the kids were brave enough to try the green eggs… and even asked for seconds!

We also had a special Read Across America assembly in the gym where Mr. Carson and Father Nic read books to us, and then the big kids got to break out and read to the littles. Such a fun day of stories, laughter, and a little extra excitement!

Lots of fun in Pre-K this week! 💚 We celebrated the Feast Day of St. Blaise with a blessing of the throats, made Groundhog Day predictions (and enjoyed a pudding treat!), played outside with sidewalk chalk, and worked on Valentine’s heart-themed centers. We had a shadow show and tell. Then we wrapped up the week with a SOUP-er Bowl Friday, donating canned soup to a local charity. Preschool is the best! 🥫💘

❄️🧊 As we wrap up our Winter Arctic unit in preschool, we’ve been busy learning and exploring!

Our letters and numbers were frozen, so we had to work together to unfreeze them using our hands, warm water, and salt, listening to the ice crack and melt while identifying each letter and number.

We made snowmen and talked about why they melted, painted igloos with LEGOs, dressed up as what we want to be when we grow up, and even took our Little People friends ice skating! ⛸️

Catholic Schools Week is off to a great start, and we’re having so much fun learning through play! 💙✝️
