We had a loss on the homestead recently😥. My sweet howdy boy. I bottle fed him from 2 weeks old, he passed really unexpectedly and in a way that was honestly traumatic for me. This is my first time owning goats and I thought I goat proofed every possible place but he unfortunately found a place to hurt himself over night and I found him in the morning. I’m very heartbroken 💔 but I know he’s with Jesus and I have learned that even if you think you’ve kid proofed the pasture CHECK AGAIN.

A sweet neighbor just brought me over some okra from their garden! It’s these kinda things that remind me Jesus led us to the right place to live! I’ve always dreamed of living in a hallmark kinda town. As soon as I have my bearings ( and my stove fixed 😂) I’ll be delivering all kinds of goodies 🫶🏼

We have lots more projects and ideas but we’re learning as we go and trying to preserve the charm 🫶🏼
