Use Desmos regression. In Bluebook Desmos, click + > Table, type the x1 and y1 values from the question. Then in line 2 type y1 ~ m x1 + b — Desmos instantly gives you m (slope) and b (y-intercept). For exponential growth, type y1 ~ a bx1. Read m, b, a directly, no formula.

The late-registration deadline for both the September 12 SAT and September 19 ACT is Tuesday, September 1.
August SAT scores are scheduled for Friday, September 4.
The regular deadline for the October 3 SAT is September 18, while October ACT registration closes September 11.

One Clear Strategy: Write WANT = ? before you solve. Read the last line of the question and circle exactly what they want — not x but 2x, not n but n+1, not the solution but the sum of solutions, not x but the value of y. Put WANT at the bottom of your scratch paper and don’t pick until your answer matches that WANT.
Example: If you solve 3x = 15 and get x=5, but the question asks for 2x, your answer is 10, not 5.

Shorter Is Stronger. On Writing, when two choices are grammatically correct and mean the same, pick the shortest clear one. Delete redundancy:
• due to the fact that → because
• in order to → to
• has the ability to → can
• advance forward / past history → advance / history (one word says it)
If you can cut words without losing meaning, you must cut.
