Desi parents want kids who think deeply... not just fill in blanks.
But sometimes… getting one full sentence feels like pulling teeth😅
Which one sounds like your house this week?

Every Desi household has both parents:
☀️ The calm one: “It’s okay, you’re learning.”
⚡ The competitive one: “But Riya got 99.”
Sometimes… they’re the same person 😬
Which one are you today?

🚨First-Ever Wholesome Field Trip = UNFORGETTABLE.
Seeing our students light up at the Liberty Science Center reminded me exactly why I started Wholesome in the first place. It wasn’t just the exhibits (though those were 🔥)... it was the laughter, the curiosity, the parents asking questions, the kids teaching each other.
This wasn’t just a field trip.
It was community. It was connection. It was Wholesome in real life.
To every parent who showed up, every student who asked “why,” and every sibling who tagged along — thank you. We’re just getting started. 💛

I thought my life was over after I got sober.
I had no idea who I was and honestly, I didn’t think there was anything left for me.
The dreams I once had? Gone. Or so I thought.
But here’s the truth: this new life didn't end dreams—it gave them back. The ones I lost. The ones I buried. The ones I never even knew I had.
I have friends I never thought I’d have. I’m closer with my family in ways I never thought possible. I get to be the person I know I am without hiding in the shadows.
For the first time in my life, I feel like I can be myself without all the distractions. And for the first time, I can actually trust people and rely on them.
Now, I wake up every day and build a life I never thought possible.
If you feel like you’ve lost everything, hear me on this: It’s not over.
You’re just getting started.
Thank you to everyone whose made today possible.

Have you ever been knocked down, only to get back up again?
I was struggling.
There was a point in my life where everything felt impossible. I was stuck, overwhelmed, and honestly, I didn't know how to move forward. But here's the thing: I pushed through, and today, I'm stronger because of it.
I want every kid to learn the same lesson early on. Kids are smart, but when things get tough, they often freeze. They give up too easily, especially when they don't know how to handle frustration. I’ve seen it happen. Kids panic when they don’t get the answer right away. They shut down instead of pushing through.
That’s why I want to teach resilience. It's not just about bouncing back after failure—it's about learning how to keep going even when things are hard. Resilience is a skill kids need, especially in school and life. If they can get through tough moments, they’ll feel more confident, less stressed, and more ready to face whatever comes next.

“I didn’t have enough time to study.”
Being Indian, we know the pressure of balancing rigorous academic expectations with extracurricular activities... Especially in New Jersey. It’s easy for kids to get caught up in trying to be perfect, and when they feel they can’t be, they avoid the task altogether.
So, how can you help?
✅ Teach time-blocking. Help your child set dedicated study time in smaller, focused chunks.
✅ Break tasks into bite-sized pieces. Large assignments seem less daunting when divided into smaller goals.
✅ Create a study environment free from distractions. A quiet, organized space is key to improving focus.
✅ Praise effort, not perfection. Celebrate their process of working hard, even if the results aren’t perfect.
Time management is a skill every high achiever needs to develop. By teaching your child how to plan, prioritize, and break down big tasks, you can help them stop procrastinating and start performing at their best.

This Time Last Year, I Was Barely Holding On
If you saw me a year ago, you wouldn’t believe the pain I was hiding. Smiling on the outside, but inside? I was drowning. Every day felt heavier than the last, and I convinced myself I had to carry it alone.
At my lowest point, I thought resilience meant pretending the pain didn’t exist. But the truth? Resilience begins the moment you admit you can’t do it alone. For me, that moment came when I asked for help. A small, terrifying step... one that changed everything.
The climb back wasn’t easy. I had to face the very things I tried to avoid. But through the struggle, I learned: falling isn’t failure. It’s the foundation for growth. Every stumble taught me how to rise stronger, to trust that progress comes through persistence.
Today, I look back at that version of myself, grateful I made the choice to surrender and fight for something better. Resilience isn’t about avoiding the fall... it’s about finding the courage to get back up, again and again.
That’s why this Friday and Saturday, I’m holding a Bounce Back Stronger seminar to teach your kids about resilience. It’s not just a concept... it’s a life skill I’ve thankfully lived through. Let’s help them build the strength to rise, no matter what comes their way.

I hear this all the time from parents:
“He’s doing well in school, but he doesn’t believe in himself.”
“She freezes when the work gets harder.”
“He’s great at memorizing, but he can’t actually explain what he’s learned.”
📌 Here’s the truth:
Getting A’s is great, but grades alone don’t prepare kids for life’s challenges.
💡 That’s why I do things differently.
I write personal letters to inspire kids, make videos to connect with them, and run growth mindset seminars to help them believe in their potential.
Then, I take all of that motivation and funnel it into ELA and Math enrichment—because real growth happens when they learn how to think critically, push through challenges, and build confidence.
✅ What can you do at home?
Ask them about their struggles, not just their grades. Growth starts with honesty.
Celebrate effort, not perfection. This builds resilience.
Encourage them to tackle hard problems. That’s where confidence grows.

Most parents think, “As long as my child gets the right answer, they’re doing fine.”
But here’s the truth: getting the answer isn’t the same as understanding.
I see it all the time—kids ace their homework but freeze during tests. Why?
Because they’ve memorized steps instead of learning the “why” behind the math.
When the question looks a little different, their confidence shatters. They guess, they second-guess, and they shut down.
Here’s what no one tells you:
Memorizing steps only works when the problem matches what they’ve practiced.
Tests and real-life math don’t follow the script.
If they don’t understand how math connects, they’ll hit a wall.
📌 So, what do you do?
✅ Ask them WHY it works. If they can’t explain it, they don’t truly know it.
✅ Have them explain their thinking out loud. Teaching builds confidence.
✅ Show how math connects to real life. This makes it stick.
🔥 Your child doesn’t need to study harder—they need to study smarter. Stop letting them rely on shortcuts, and start teaching them to think critically. That’s where real growth happens.
