🍏 We kicked off October with an APPLE FEST! 🍎

We jumped right into our October curriculum study and started exploring Community by learning all about farmers and the important work they do for us! 🚜🌾

Our little learners had a bushel of fun with:
🍎 Creative Discovery apple stamping
🧺 Building Connections with a pretend apple-picking adventure
👀 Exploring different kinds of apples
😋 Tasting and comparing flavors
📊 Charting which apple was their favorite!

It was a sweet, hands-on day full of learning, exploring, and of course… lots of apples! 🍎❤️

🪞✨ Seeing Ourselves, Finding Our Place! ✨🪞

We’re wrapping up our Self Study journey, and what a fun adventure it has been! 💛 From mirror selfies and self-portraits to learning all about the unique things that make each of us US, our classrooms have been full of discovery! 🎨👀

We’ve been getting to know our new friends, their families, and our classroom communities while building connections, confidence, and a whole lot of smiles along the way! 🥰

🔤✨ CREATIVE DISCOVERY: Build Your Name! ✨🔤

Today our Pre-K friends got hands-on with learning through play! 👐💡 The children explored a sensory bin filled with wooden letter blocks and searched for the letters they needed to build and spell their names.

A fun sensory experience that supports letter recognition, name recognition, fine-motor skills, and early literacy—all while having a little fun! 💛📚

🎨 Artist of the Month: Betty Albert! 🎨

This week, our infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and Pre-K classes explored the creative world of our Artist of the Month, Betty Albert! Each age group put their own unique spin on an artwork inspired by her style.

From little hands exploring the process to our older learners creating detailed designs, every classroom had the opportunity to experiment with shapes, patterns, colors, and creativity in an age-appropriate way. 🖌️✨

We love seeing how the same artist can inspire such wonderfully different creations across our classrooms! 💛🎨

Creative Discovery: How Many Drops Fill the Dots? 💧

Today, the children explored measurement and cause-and-effect through a fun water-drop experiment! Using droppers, they carefully added water to paper circles one drop at a time, counting each drop to discover how many were needed to fill the dots.

This hands-on activity encouraged fine-motor development, hand-eye coordination, counting skills, observation, and early scientific thinking as the children made predictions and explored how water behaves.
