“We don’t know what will happen tomorrow,” said the horse.
“It’s enough for us to know that we love each other.”
A powerful reminder that in the face of uncertainty, love is our anchor—and it’s always enough. Let’s

f your relationship is toxic, run, don’t walk to the nearest exit.
❌If it’s a spouse, it’s not real love—it’s control, and you deserve freedom.
❌If it’s a family member, they don’t respect, support, or truly love you—love doesn’t break you down.
❌If it’s an employer, no amount of money is worth your health, sanity, or dignity.
❌If it’s a friend, real friendship doesn’t drain you—it strengthens you.
🙅♀️🙅♂️If it’s your own thoughts holding you back, remember that God created you for more than suffering. He calls you to live in truth, not in bo***ge.
You are not obligated to set yourself on fire to keep someone else warm. Walk away. Trust God. Thrive.

I’ve cried a lot of tears for this day 🥹 it’s been a long time coming but here we are …. Me and Ari on the way to es**rt baby girl to Spain so she can do what she put her mind to- she asked to finish her last two years of high school in Spain in order to earn her International Baccalaureate. I jumped through hoops and hoops of fire… and then what seemed like hoops of fire dangling out of the mouths of hungry sharks to make this happen for her and her brother. This has taken almost everything out of me- it’s the reason I haven’t posted or returned your calls, it’s the reason for my tears and today, the reason I can smile. Every child needs someone who will not stop caring, loving them, and fighting for them even when things get difficult. To my babies -I promise I will always be that for you even if the world is against you, know I got you and we’ve got each other.
Thanks to all who faithfully prayed to bring this to fruition. It wasn’t easy but we made- now let the adventure begin! Can’t wait to keep you posted as we dive head first into an 18 month study abroad in Spain. Stay tuned!

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from Teach These Children! 🍁

I said it before and I’ll probably say it a million more times because it’s that relevant - you don’t know what you don’t know. Children are no different. It’s time we look at teaching children skills and behaviors the same way we teach academics. Saying something is common sense or they should just know how to act in a certain situation is no different than taking a new job and having your boss say you should just know how to do this. We all learn through experiencing the world around us. Gentle guidance, and clear expectations can go a long way. Here are some of examples to start with:
❌Be careful!
Without an explanation of what to do, it’s just instilling fear.
✅Watch your footing and be sure something is near by that you can grab hold of if you you lose your balance
❌Don’t touch that!
Commands without explanation leave little room for children to analyze and transfer skills to different situations.
✅You are allowed to do that at home but in other peoples houses you have to ask if it’s okay to do certain things.
❌Don’t be rude!
Unless the child has full meaning of the word, it has no value.
✅Holding the door or extending your hand to let someone go ahead of you is a sign of respect. It’s especially nice to go out of your way for an adult or an elder.
❌ Good job.
Be specific and reinforce the behaviors you want to see repeated.
✅I really like how you asked before picking up that picture frame. That was the polite and respectful thing to do.
Think about yourself like your child’s coach. They need you to help them navigate the world around them in a clear and gentle way. Allow them to slow down a process rather than training them to respond to orders and directions.

Let’s raise up a generation who know that emotional maturity isn’t about perfection; it’s about understanding and embracing the process of growth. It’s recognizing that words need actions, that everyone has something to work on, and that learning continues throughout life. Let’s teach our children that emotional wellness is built through patience, self-reflection, and constant growth.

When we as parents model the right mindsets and behaviors, the paradigm shifts from struggling to know what and how to teach our children to looking forward to enjoying our time together.
🎨Maintaining creative outlets is a key factor in building a healthy, balanced life. And, it’s just as important for children as it is for adults. Yes, we should make time for children to have play built into their schedule instead of thinking of it as an “extra”, but the same holds true for adults. When was the last time that you revisited that old sketchbook or that paint set that’s in the basement? When you’re interested, they will be too. Show your children that learning is a lifelong process. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and get messy. The dishes and the clutter can wait a minute. Let’s prioritize the things that matter. So, what’s the creative activity you would love to revisit as an adult?
