We are currently at capacity for our Wings event - you may register for the waitlist!
The Arc of Ohio and United Airlines are excited to announce our Wings for All program at CLE (Cleveland Hopkins International Airport) on April 25, 2026.
Special thanks to our partners at CLE, United Airlines, TSA and The Arc. Space is limited and will fill up quickly.
The Arc’s Wings for Autism®/Wings for All® (Wings) program gives families and aviation professionals the confidence to take to the skies with ease by providing an airport “rehearsal,” as well as a presentation on the aircraft features and in-flight safety protocols. Chapters of The Arc, local partners, and airport/airline/TSA personnel work collaboratively to design and carry out each Wings event.
For Individuals and Families
Wings alleviates some of the stress that people with autism and other IDDs and their families experience when traveling by air by providing families with the opportunity to experience and learn about how their loved ones will react to different stimuli in the airport.
For Aviation Professionals
Wings gives airport, airline, TSA professionals, and other personnel the opportunity to observe, interact, and deliver their services in a structured learning environment—improving their disability competency and processes for accommodating all passengers who fly.
During a Wings Event: Participant Activities include -
Check-in to receive boarding passes
Pass through the TSA security checkpoint
Wait in the boarding area
Board an aircraft (that does not take off)
Sign up today at the link below! Each participant will be able to be assisted by a family member or two. Once we reach our maximum participants, the event will be full (due to space limitations on the plane). If there are cancellations, we will use a waitlist to fill spots.

We’re thrilled by the incredible response to our sensory bags - thank you for all the support, excitement, and shares!
Originally created for our very first Flight School event, these bags were thoughtfully designed to support travelers of all ages with sensory needs - including those who experience pre-flight anxiety, autism, or other sensory sensitivities. While we didn’t expect them to take off online (pun intended), we’re so grateful they did!
These sensory bags are part of our broader Hopkins Hospitality initiative, which aims to make travel more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive for everyone.
In addition to the bags, we also offer noise-reducing ear muffs (not Bluetooth headphones) in both adult and child sizes, available upon request.
If you or someone you’re traveling with has a hidden disability - such as anxiety, autism, or a chronic condition, we encourage you to pick up a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard offered at the same locations. Wearing this lanyard signals to airport staff that you may need a little extra time or support during your journey.
Sensory bags and sunflower lanyards are available at:
📍 Central Information Desk – Ticketing Level
📍 Welcome Information Desk – Baggage Claim Level

Happy travels! ✨
