Pipefitters School to Apprenticeship Program for the 2022 Summer

The start of classes are less than one month away! If you have not ordered your uniforms please reach out to Greg with The Uniform Guy to order your shirts. Also at vendor of your choice please have either uniform pants (black in color) or blue jeans with no rips or holes! Students will also be required to wear work boots in my class. Look forward to seeing you guys in a few weeks!

Homeless to Homeowner: Here's How

Attention Students due to projected weather tomorrow. CVCC will be closed for day and evening classes.

BPM and HVAC Students teamed up with The City Mission to help a family get back on their feet. We provided them with a new furnace and plumbing system! Here is the video showcasing some of our work!

Great weather for the students to get an up close look at real construction work

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 48 students from CVCC’s Construction Trades, Heating and Air Conditioning and Electrical & Alternative Energy programs participated in the 10th Annual High School “Rich DiGeronimo Constructor for the Day” Program sponsored by the Ohio Contractors Association (OCA). Students enjoyed breakfast in the Valley Inn along with presentations from Matt Malone of Kurtz Brothers, other OCA members and Josh Hayes, CVCC Assistant Principal. Following breakfast, students visited the Pinecrest Development in Beachwood. Pinecrest is a mixed-use lifestyle shopping center, students saw the final stages of construction as the facility prepares to open in June. Students then went to the Opportunity Corridor project where they saw various stages of demolition in preparation for roadwork expansion in Cleveland. Upon return to CVCC, students enjoyed lunch and more OCA presentations including the Regional Council of Carpenters. After lunch, students were able to network with businesses at a mini Job Fair in Conference Room A that included, Independence Excavating, Great Lakes and Kokosing Construction Companies, Kurtz Brothers, Ohio CAT and representatives from the Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters and Ohio Operating Engineers and more. CVCC thanks the OCA providing this opportunity to our trade students annually. CVCC also appreciates the great meals prepared by the culinary program lead by Ms. Morton. What an engaging and interactive day of opportunity and learning!
