Agnese PERRELLA Obituary (2026) - Parma Heights, OH - Zabor Funeral Home, Inc. - Parma 03/01/2026

Dear Friends, I have some sad news regarding the passing of the mother-in-law of our classmate Joe Keppler, Mrs. Agnese Perrella.
Joe's wife, Maria, and their whole family were very close to Agnese & will miss her dearly.
⛪️We often saw Maria & Joe along with Agnese at St. Bridget's Mass! She was an energetic positive lady & an inspiration to all!
🙏Please remember the Keppler family in your prayers as the mourn the loss of their dear mom, grandma Agnese.
🙏"May Agnese rest in God's eternal peace-Amen."

The Super Bowl isn’t just a game. It’s a snapshot of American culture.

This year’s halftime show? Parents across America are lucky their kids didn’t understand the vulgar lyrics coming from Bad Bunny.

It wasn't PG-13. It wasn't even R. It was effectively X-***ed.

Being labeled an “activist” doesn’t give anyone a free pass to degrade women.

In Bad Bunny’s music, women are props. Prizes.

Misogyny gets repackaged as “empowerment” — set to a catchy beat and repeated until the listener is numb to the message.

The suggestive dancing, twerking, and crotch-grabbing, didn't soften or contextualize the lyrics.

It translated them. The message was loud and clear.

Why did the NFL choose this particular strain of reggaeton as the version of Hispanic culture to elevate?

Especially in a country constantly told to suppress its own sensitivities in the name of “cultural accommodation.”

Reggaeton is not synonymous with Hispanic culture.

It’s a hyper-sexualized, secular genre—far removed from the deeply Catholic traditions that still shape millions of Hispanic families in the U.S.

The Washington Post even called the halftime show “wholesome” and reflective of “traditional family values.”

That’s not just wrong. It’s insulting.

If this is “family values,” then the phrase has lost all meaning.

What the Post completely ignored is that a large number of Hispanics, many of them Catholic, and many of them not, responded immediately:

"This does not represent us."

Some Catholic voices rushed to defend it as “wholesome,” pointing to rural imagery or dismissing critics as uptight moral scolds.

But aesthetics don’t override content.

Calling out explicitly sexualized, degrading content isn’t pearl-clutching.

It’s drawing a line.

It’s teaching our kids to recognize what is worthy of admiration—and what isn’t.

CatholicVote is not in the “outrage” business.

We are in the American culture business.

We care about these moments not because we enjoy conflict, but because massive cultural events like the Super Bowl halftime show don't just reflect culture: they actively create it.

Moving forward, the NFL should exercise better judgment—judgment worthy of the families who make this event what it is.
