At Parma Preschool, children learn through exploration, creativity, relationships, and play in our private, Reggio-inspired early childhood program. Our environment includes an art studio, block room, outdoor classroom, and thoughtfully designed spaces where children are encouraged to wonder, investigate, create, and grow.

We welcome children age 3 and older who are potty trained, with AM, PM, and Full Day options available.

Families may qualify for a sliding-scale tuition rate after applying for tuition assistance through Ohio Benefits. Depending on eligibility, this can significantly reduce—or even cover—the cost of tuition.

Children are excellent problem solvers. We just have to give them the time and experiences to discover what they are capable of.

Sometimes, as teachers and adults, our first instinct is to jump in—to help, fix, or rescue. But when we solve the problem for a child too quickly, we can unintentionally take away an opportunity for them to think, experiment, make mistakes, adjust, and try again.

Instead of immediately giving an answer, we can ask:

“What do you think you could try?”
“What else might work?”
“Is there another way?”
“Who could help you figure this out?”

The goal isn’t for children to never need help. It’s for them to begin seeing themselves as capable thinkers who can face a problem and say, “I can figure this out.”

Sometimes the most powerful thing an adult can do is give a child enough time and space to try.
