Holy Name High School Holy Name is a Catholic, college prep school enrolling young men and women in grades 9-12. Holy Name High School is a co-educational, Catholic high school.

Founded in 1914, it is the oldest coed Catholic school in the Cleveland area. Rich in history and tradition, rooted in Christian values, Holy Name promotes excellence in education through a challenging curriculum, personal responsibility, and participation in extra-curricular activities. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Ouimet Smith as Holy Name’s new Assistant Principal of Student Life. 💚

Mr. Smith arrives at Holy Name with more than 30 years of experience in public education and school leadership. He began as an English teacher in Shaker Heights, then went on to serve as a Unit Principal, Interim Principal, Assistant Principal, and Director of Student Affairs. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Principal in Lakewood City Schools.

That is real, earned experience in the work that matters most: leading school culture, supporting students and families, building strong relationships, and helping young people grow through both encouragement and accountability.

At Holy Name, Mr. Smith will bring that leadership directly to the student experience, from activities and student leadership to discipline, culture, character formation, and the everyday moments that determine whether students feel known, challenged, and supported.

We are fortunate to have a leader of his caliber joining Holy Name at such an important moment for our school. Welcome, Mr. Smith.

Rooted in the first value of our Strategic Vision 2030, BELIEVE is a call to trust in the saving power of Jesus, recognize the God-given potential within every student, and move confidently into the future together.

It is a theme for Holy Name, but it is also a theme for Cleveland, a city built by people who keep showing up, keep working, and keep believing that something better can be built.
