Parlier Unified School District is proud to partner with the Central California Food Bank to host FREE food distributions for our Parlier students and families every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month!

These distributions provide extra support to help ensure our PUSD families have access to fresh and nutritious food. By supporting the whole child and their family, we can help set our students up for success and ensure they arrive at school ready to learn! 📚

It is with great excitement that we share some incredible news!

This morning, Dr. Rafael Iñiguez, Superintendent of Parlier Unified School District, officially signed the contract to begin construction on the new Parlier High School Stadium!

Today’s contract signing marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Parlier High School and generations of future Panthers. What was once a vision is now officially moving forward! The new stadium represents an investment in our students, our schools, our athletic programs, and the future of the entire Parlier community.

Same Vision. Same Scope. Nearly $4 million in savings.

During a special meeting on August 19, the Parlier Unified School District Board of Trustees officially approved the construction of the new Parlier High School Stadium, bringing our community one step closer to a project that has been envisioned for decades!

But one important question we have received is:
Why did the stadium project go through a second bidding process?

The answer is simple: to ensure we were being responsible stewards of our community’s investment.

When the first round of construction bids came in higher than anticipated, the District made the decision to reissue the project for bidding. While this decision added time to the process, it also created an opportunity for additional construction companies to submit bids.

And the result was worth it.

The second bidding process resulted in nearly $4 MILLION in savings, while maintaining the same scope of work for the new Parlier High School Stadium.

That means the exciting vision our students, families, alumni, and community have been waiting for remains intact, including:
🏟️ A Panther-themed grand entrance
🏃 A nine-lane track
🏈 Artificial turf
💡 Modern lighting with special color-changing capabilities
👥 Expanded seating for nearly 4,000 spectators
🎓 Spaces to support athletics, student activities, school events, and community gatherings

The decision to rebid the project reflects PUSD’s commitment to being fiscally responsible and good stewards of state, federal, and local bond funds.

Sometimes, taking a little more time leads to an even better outcome. By moving forward with a second bidding process, PUSD was able to move ahead with the same exciting stadium project while saving our community nearly $4 million.

After decades of anticipation, the new Parlier High School Stadium is officially moving forward, and we couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead for our students and community!
