Celebrating Our Amazing AVID Team!

A big thank you to our AVID team for doing an awesome job at tonight’s AVID Parent Night! They did a great job explaining what students can expect from AVID and how families can help support them along the way.

Thank you also to all the parents and families who came out tonight. Having families involved and connected to the school makes a real difference for our students and helps build a stronger school community.

Get ready to start the school year strong! Join us for the mandatory Parlier High School 9th Grade Orientation. Incoming freshmen and their parents/guardians will tour the campus, pick up schedules, meet PHS staff and administrators, and get key information to ensure a successful school year!

Today, the Parlier High School GLS Team, in partnership with Miriam Andres, Parent Engagement Coordinator; Community Health Workers Kimberly Garcia and Erica Basurto; and Reedley College, hosted a parent workshop for 10th and 11th grade families. Families received information on high school graduation and A-G requirements, the differences between CSU, UC, and private universities, how to read and understand their student’s transcript, community health resources, and parent programs available through Reedley College.

Tomorrow July 31st, we will be hold the same event for parents of our Seniors, 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Our Freshman parents informarional meeting and Freshman orientation will be Tuesday, August 4th. We looking forward to connecting with parents. Go Panthers!
