1966 was the year our class left the cocoon of WPHS to go out into the world. Who Says You Can’t Go Home? We were brave, we were crazy, we were mostly young."

You’d be a fool to ignore your 50th high-school reunion - June 24-26, 2016!!!!!!!!! Most of us, I’m confident, have some rather significant events in our lives that bring joy and excitement. It could be marriage, the birth of a child, perhaps a first grandchild, a new home, or retirement. Somewhere in all those events many of us will celebrate our 50th high-school reunion. Peggy Davis, WPHS CLASS OF 66, is the subject of a documentary about her project that created not only a tomato named for her (and it's delicious) but her participation in saving seeds of heirloom tomatoes! Can't see it yet, but maybe eventually!

I asked my daughter to give me the phone book. She laughed at me, called me a dinosaur and lent me her iPhone. So the spider is dead, the iPhone is broken and my daughter is furious!

Saw this on a Baby Boomer page.. I disagree with some, but it's worth a read to see what some of our peers are thinking.

I graduated from high school 50 years ago today. I am still waiting for that opportunity to use Greek and Roman mythology, trigonometry, Shakespeare's plays, chemistry and Russian history. I would have appreciated classes in finances, stable relationships, marketing, computer science, nutrition, banking, basic home repairs, basic understanding of the legal system and political science. Public schools need to prepare students for the world they go out into and not just create good little worker bees.

This is Gail Dener--
Just found out that our classmate, Donald Bert, has passed away. Not sure when. I found myself speaking with his elderly aunt here in Baltimore as part of my volunteer job, at Rebuilding Together..she was applying for homerepairs and when I heard her name, I just had to ask if she was related to him. We had a lovely chat about him..
