Our annual Tom LaMonica Memorial Trial run festival brought out the sunshine and some of the best people!

Thanks to our INCREDIBLE sponsors, volunteers, athletes and friends who made it possible! We raised over $27,000 to support our scholarship fund which reduces financial barriers for Title 1 schools, non profits and select summer camp families! Can’t wait to see you all next year 🏃 🎶 🌳 🍔 🍟 🥒 🍻 🎟️ ♥️

Sneak peak… 👀

GVOLC incorporated 1981 of August 21.

When the “old” think about GV - they think of living in a musty cabin back in the woods (EEC), wild adventures to and from, wrangling loose cows, eating meals together in the ark, providing experiences for individuals to come together, King & Chief and shoving Paul in trash cans…

The “less old” think about GV - they think about wild encounters while leading groups, wrangling rouge turkeys, providing experiences for individuals to come together, Clyde & Bonnie or Clyde, Jeff, Angus, and Jersey and some living in the quant farm house while most commute home.

They ALL think about - the sun that shines just right during morning meeting, the peaceful sounds of the PAV woods, the cheers of a group when their scared friend steps off the zipline, the laughter of kiddos splashing in canoes, the lunch stealing dogs, the friends you connect with like you never have anywhere else, the brown GV sign as you enter, THE PLACE, THE PEOPLE, and the LOVE.

Not Summer Camp, but Seedlings!! aka the childhood dream of exploring year round, collecting golden leaves, building snow sculptures, finding cool critters, and embracing all of it 🌿🍂❄️
As Summer Camp is winding down our Seedling Educators have leapt into full planning mode, transforming our NAF Shack back into the cozy, whimsical Seedlings Indoor Classroom, finalizing the Handbook, and sharing with parents what to expect and how to prepare for the upcoming seasons. We are SO excited for this next year's adventures!

One of the best parts of my job is recognizing outstanding young men and women who have excelled in the Scouting program.

Congratulations to Drew and Will Charlton from Troop 732 on receiving their Eagle Scout rank. Thank you to their family, fellow Scouts, and everyone else who supported them!

Their projects, supporting the Maryland State Game & Fish Protective Association and Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center, will enhance these areas for years to come. Great job!

August 22nd @ 5:30 pm THE RACE BEGINS!!! Compete for medals or sit back and relax in the field with live music, burgers & fries, and good vibes. Gaga and lawn games for the kids, Vortex brewery for the adults, and plenty of hype to celebrate the end of the summer season 🏁💚
