Founder, farmer, coach, educator, outdoor enthusiast, visionary, dreamer, father.. the list goes on. Today marks the 16th anniversary of Tom LaMonica’s passing.

To this day, his vision for Genesee Valley is growing. Growing to support more people, more opportunities, more connections and more good in the world. 🌎

Today, (really everyday) we reflect on how GV has grown and changed over the last 16 years.

💯 Serving hundreds more participants each year through team building programs, summer camp and early childhood programs.

🥍 ⚽️ providing access to rec and club programs for lacrosse & soccer. We are one of the main host site for women’s lacrosse recruiting tournaments throughout the year.

🐸 we have enhanced our landscape for more native animal and plant populations to thrive here.
💲 scholarship fund expansion to support on average $17,000 for programming based participants.

👥 leadership teams have ebbed and flowed, adding their mark and elevating GV.

All the ways we have changed, we have stayed the same too. Rooted in community, growth and leadership.

A Place to Grow 🌳

Wetland Restoration Project in Action!

As we enter phase 4 of the project, we are thrilled to hear the frogs croaking, turtles rediscovering a new habitat and imagining what the full 8 acres of wetland will look like. We also eagerly await over 400 new native trees and shrubs to be planted!

The Green Team, JMT, and the Port of Baltimore have collectively made this project come to fruition.

Please reach out to learn more!
