North Christian School

North Christian School NCS is committed to providing every student an academically challenging education from a biblical world view. We currently serve students from PreK 3–8th grade.

North Christian School began in 1998 as a ministry of North Parkersburg Baptist Church. Currently, there are approximately 200 students enrolled in Pre K-3 through 8th Grade. Technology, Spanish, music, and physical education are additional enrichment courses offered to students. Smaller class sizes allow for more personalized instruction. Certified teachers hold a four-year Elementary Education d

egree from an accredited college or university as well as a valid teaching license. We participate in Wood County academic programs including the Wood County Social Studies and Science Fairs, Wood County Spelling Bee, Young Author's and Young Illustrator's Contests to name a few. Students may also participate in athletics sponsored by the Wood County Recreation Commission including Boys' and Girls' Basketball, Track and Wrestling. NCS also offers cheerleading. Our mission: To develop strong, Christian character and academic excellence in a safe, Christian environment.

Let’s Talk Stuffies…

We think Mrs. Drake might just be a kid at heart.
She says she’s collecting all these stuffed animals to help raise money for the 5th grade trip…and we believe her. Mostly. 😉

Because when you see a mountain of stuffies like this, you have to wonder if there isn’t a little part of Mrs. Drake that still sees them through the eyes of a child—the joy of picking out the perfect stuffed friend, the excitement of taking one home, and the memories that come with it. 

So yes, there’s a purpose behind the stuffies…
but maybe there’s also a little childhood magic behind the collection.

And honestly? We think that’s pretty special.
Keep collecting, Mrs. Drake! The 5th graders are counting on you!

(These stuffies are now neatly put away and sitting quietly waiting for their forever home).

Today in our Elementary All-School Chapel, our students learned that a new school year is a wonderful opportunity to set goals, grow, and become the people God has called us to be.

We talked about setting goals that help us grow academically, personally, and spiritually—and remembering that we don’t have to accomplish them alone. When we put God at the center of our plans, He guides our steps!

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3)

We’re excited to watch our North Stars learn, grow, serve, and shine for God’s glory throughout this school year!
