We offer a 4 year old PreK collaborative program with Criss Elementary in Wood County! ***Free of charge*** for over 21 years!! We are located off of 7th street/Core Rd area in North Parkersburg. Pre K is district wide with no mandates on school zones.

If your child turned 4 by July 1, 2026 or has an IEP either as a 3 year old or 4 year old we can help!!! Bus transportation available for any IEPs.

Our amazing staff of 8 years offers a fun, interactive learning environment using the Frog street Curriculum!

Classes run Monday through Thursday 7:45am to 2:00pm!!

We offer a Wood County Collaborative here with care before and after prek hours and also offer all day Friday care!! If your child was 4 by July 1, 2026. Still plenty of time to enroll!!

On June 15, 1998, Precious Angels opened its doors! Yesterday marked 28 years in business, and we couldn't have reached this milestone without our amazing staff—past and present—and all of the wonderful families who have trusted us with the privilege of caring for their children.
Miss Grace owned and operated the center until 2019, when Miss Sandy purchased it. This past May also marked one year since Miss Lindsay joined our operations team. We truly enjoy working together each day to create a nurturing, fun, and special environment for your children.
We are also excited to share that we are currently in the process of obtaining a Tier 2 Quality Rating for our facility!
As we celebrate 28 years, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has been a part of our journey. Your support, trust, and partnership mean the world to us, and we look forward to many more years of serving our community.

One last HUGE shoutout to our amazing parents and families for all of the love, food, cards, gifts, and snacks sent our way this week! We appreciate it more than words can say. ❤️

Yesterday, we were treated to fruit and bagels with all the toppings — and one thing is for sure, we have definitely been spoiled!
Many of our parents also shared such kind words with Choices that were featured on Facebook. Again, thank you so much for your support, generosity, and encouragement!

I also want to take a moment to recognize and thank my incredible staff. Without them, this center would not be what it is today. 💙 They support one another, work hard every single day, and truly take the time to understand and meet each child’s individual needs.

I am beyond proud of each and every one of them!

It’s been a great week of treats and gifts for our staff so far!! Two different families have provided breakfast sweets. Lindsay & I put together bags/tshirts/gifts for all of our staff to show our sincere appreciation!! We truly appreciate all of our families who have sent and plan to do things throughout the rest of the week!!

It’s nice to hear that your hard work is appreciated and noticed!!

Welcome our new staff member Haley!!!! Haley has been training this week in different classrooms and we are excited to add her to our awesome staff!!!

We are also so excited to announce the passage of HB4191 today in the WV Senate!!! So much work has gone into this and we are so relieved to finally be seen!!! Childcare is so important!!! Miss Lindsay wrote an awesome letter asking our Legislators to please support this bill!! Ty Lindsay!

Author unknown but I really agree 150% with this!!! These staff members are rock stars!!

While we were changing diapers, wiping noses, tying shoes, and cleaning up lunch messes… parents were out there doing their jobs.

Because of you, a mom was able to walk into work today and focus.
Because of you, a dad didn’t have to worry all day about whether their child was safe.
Because of you, families were able to go out and do the work that keeps their homes running.

And honestly… it keeps this country running too.

Every poopy diaper you changed.
Every snotty nose you wiped.
Every snack you passed out.
Every nap you helped a tired little one settle into.

That work matters more than people realize.

Childcare providers are the quiet engine behind the workforce. When parents know their child is loved, safe, and cared for, they can go out and do their jobs with peace of mind.

So if you end the week tired, covered in a little bit of mystery goo, and wondering if what you do really matters…

It does.

You helped families today.
You helped children today.
And in your own way, you helped keep the world moving.

Now go enjoy your weekend. You’ve earned it.

WOOD COUNTY PRE-K enrollment is now open for 2026/2027!! The link below will take you to the enrollment site!

We are a collaborative program with Criss Elementary and offer Childcare hourly or on Fridays if needed beyond prek hours of 7:45am to 2pm.

Please click the link below to enroll your child and list Precious Angels ELC as your top choice.

We offer larger classroom area, smaller classes typically than the schools, exceptional staff who have been here for several years!

If you feel your child can qualify for a speech IEP and the child is 3 years of age, you can contact special education at 304-420-9663 and ask for your child to be tested!!

To qualify for 4 year old prek your child must be 4 by July 1, 2026.
