Gramma's House Daycare

I am a state-approved Category B licensed daycare & am CPR & First-Aid certified. I participate in the food program, providing a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. My ChildNet certification requires me to meet certain standards above the state level. I have also completed training in the FCCERS rating scale and the Iowa Early Learning Standards. I strive to provide quality, attentive care to the children in your life. This is why I use an emergent curriculum. Using your child's current interests, I tailor developmentally appropriate activities and curricula to your child. One of our friends recently has taken an interest in butterflies. After learning about their life cycle, and the changes they go through (they aren't all bad :) ), we read a book about a caterpillar and completed a butterfly project. We were even able to pick out some of the letters in butterfly! Using an emerging curriculum fosters critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and love for learning, a lifelong skill. The curriculum also meets state Early Childhood standards and benchmarks. Our daycare is happy to accept children between the ages of 3 months and 10 years old. We look forward to hearing from you!
