🌱 Did you know that some DCSD schools participate in composting programs?
Throughout the school year, students and staff at Clear Sky Elementary collected food scraps from the cafeteria, helping keep organic waste out of landfills. Thanks to a partnership with Castle Rock Composting, those scraps were transformed into nutrient-rich compost and returned to the school to support garden beds, outdoor learning spaces and new plant growth.
This full-circle experience gave students a firsthand look at sustainability in action, showing how small efforts can make a meaningful impact. As we reflect on another successful school year, we're proud of the ways our students learn, lead and care for the world around them. 🌎💚
