Express Check-in has begun and welcome letters from your child’s teacher(s) will go out on August 5th. Please know, unless there is a major extenuating circumstance, class placements are final. Hours of work go into the creation of these lists, and input is taken from administration, parents, specials’ teachers, previous teachers and support staff. We try to create well balanced classes in all respects. I absolutely love getting to watch our teachers build such important, positive relationships with our students. I know they will be so excited to see returning students and eager to create a wonderful classroom culture with a new group of kids.

📘📒DCSD Late Start Fridays!📒📘
Beginning this school year, schools will have a 45-minute late start every Friday to provide this dedicated collaboration time for staff. The school day will officially begin at 9:45 AM, and bus transportation will also operate on a 45-minute delayed schedule to align with this change.
Students may not be dropped off prior to 9:45 AM as there will be no supervision available. Details about BASE (Before and After School Enterprise), which is located at Mountain View Elementary, can be located HERE.

Our first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 12th. All students will line up next to their classroom teacher’s signs on the blacktop in the rear of the building. We will have staff available to help direct students. Students may begin being dropped off at 9:00am and classes will enter the building together after the second bell at 9:10am. Please note that we will not have supervision for children prior to 9:00am. Parents are welcome to walk their child into class on the first day of school to grab those last minute hugs and pictures. Breakfast will be available.

Can I drop off classroom supplies and meet the teacher(s) before the first day of school? YES!
