Happy Play-Doh Day! 🌈💛

Today our kiddos got their hands messy while they mixed, squished, rolled, pressed, created, and explored! Play-Doh may look like simple fun, but there is so much learning happening along the way.

As children work with dough, they’re strengthening those little hand muscles needed for handwriting and self-help skills, while also building creativity, problem-solving, sensory awareness, and confidence. Even better, making it together gives children opportunities to ask questions, make predictions, collaborate, and discover what happens next — inquiry-based learning at its best! ✨

Little hands. Big ideas. SO much learning through play! 🩷💙💛

💻We are excited to introduce purposeful Tech Time in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms!✨ Technology is used as a carefully guided learning tool—not for unlimited screen time or tablet free play. During scheduled, teacher-led experiences, children will use age-appropriate technology to reinforce classroom concepts, practice problem-solving, explore early coding and robotics, and develop the confidence needed to navigate digital learning tools. As children continue through school, technology will become an increasingly important part of how they learn, create, research, and demonstrate their understanding. Introducing these resources intentionally helps prepare them for future learning while supporting creativity, exploration, and innovation. Tech Time is one small part of our well-rounded curriculum and will remain balanced with hands-on learning, imaginative play, social interaction, active movement, and outdoor exploration. Technology does not replace these meaningful experiences—it provides another tool to enhance them!

Today, Miss Beth brought us a story all about trying new things — and she gave it the BEST title… “Fish Ice Cream!” 🐟🍦

Our kiddos sang, listened, laughed, and talked about how trying something new can feel a little silly or even a little scary at first, but you never know what you might discover until you give it a try! 💙

We love our visits with Miss Beth and all the fun ways she gets our little learners thinking, moving, and using their imaginations! 🎵✨

And of course… now we have one very important question: Would YOU try fish ice cream? 🐟🍦

On Friday we celebrated some of the very special grandparents in our lives with a fun activity designed for all ages! 🥰

From our littlest learners to our school-age friends, everyone got to join in on the fun! 🎨✨

We loved seeing the excitement, creativity, and sweet little moments that made the day so special. 💕 There’s just something extra special about grandparents and the love they share with their grandchildren!

Happy Grandparents Day to all of our wonderful grandparents! We hope your day is filled with lots of love, laughter, and precious memories. 🫶👵👴💐

Learning begins from the very start! ✏️🔤 Our one-year-olds explored the first letter of their names through a fun coloring activity, building early letter recognition and creating a meaningful connection between print and their own identity. At our school, purposeful curriculum begins in our infant classrooms and grows right alongside each child. These early, age-appropriate introductions help build confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for future learning! 💙

Splish, splash—our two-year-olds are learning through water play! 💦 As they pour, scoop, squeeze, and explore, they are building fine motor skills, strengthening hand-eye coordination, and discovering early concepts like cause and effect, volume, and movement. Water exploration is the perfect way to inspire curiosity while making learning fun!

Soaking up the sunshine while we learn, grow, and move! ☀️🌿 Outdoor play gives our little learners space to run, climb, balance, and explore—all while building gross motor skills, coordination, strength, and confidence. Every jump, step, and adventure helps support healthy development while making wonderful memories with friends!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
