It’s time for Cloverbud camp for kids ages 5-7. It will start at 8:00 am and be completed by 12:00pm every day From July 13-16, at the Extension Office. Parents must drop off and pick up. It’s time for camp! Teams of two, ages 10 and up. It will start at 6:00 pm and finish by 8:00. Parents must drop off and pick up. Camp is free to attend. Youth will be responsible for building cars with limited help. Please call 623-695-5914 if you have questions or concerns. Parent meeting will be held at 6:00 PM on July 5th. The New World Screw Worm is a serious livestock pest that has affected the livestock industry in the past. It was effectively eradicated from the US a few decades ago. It remained in some parts of south America and has been observed to move northwards a year or two ago. Its presence in the US has been confirmed a few days ago in Texas and in New Mexico. Today the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) confirmed additional cases of New World Screwworm in Texas and a case in Lea County, New Mexico. This brings the total confirmed cases to four in Texas and one in New Mexico.
