Brad was in NE Utah and was with a new investigator in a new unexplored area. They found a cluster of tree structures about 3 pm and heard a foot stomp and some whoops and he took the photo. He said lots of teepees in the area.

Touched by a Sasquatch: Our Supermoon Encounter in Larimer County

June 2013. The Supermoon was set to rise, casting its glow across the Colorado backcountry. My wife and I had set up camp in a quiet, remote spot in Larimer County — a place we’d never tried before. We usually camp during the new moon when the nights are pitch-black and perfect for observing activity, but this time was different. Something pulled us to be out there during the full moon, even if it meant brighter skies.

For four days, everything was quiet. Too quiet. No animals stirring. No sounds in the woods. The forest seemed to hold its breath.

But on the night of the Supermoon, things changed.

The sky was cloudy, hiding the bright moonlight. We had just settled into our red and gray tent when my wife suddenly sat bolt upright. "Something just pushed my back," she said, calm but certain.

She wasn’t shaken, just surprised — as if she knew it wasn’t just wind or imagination.

We lay back down around 11 PM. Moments after we turned off the lantern, we heard slow, deliberate footsteps crunching the ground just outside the tent. No other campers were around. Whatever it was, it was walking with intent.

Around 1 AM, my wife stepped outside to use our camp outhouse. She returned, zipped up the tent door, and lay back down. Then came a sound we’ll never forget: the unmistakable zipppppp of a finger or nail slowly dragging down the outside wall of our tent — right in front of us.

It was no animal just sniffing around. It felt... personal. Playful, even.

Over the years, we’ve each had our own experiences in the woods, but now both of us have something in common — we’ve been touched by a Sasquatch. Whether it was curiosity, mischief, or a warning, we’ll never know. But that Supermoon night left us with one more story to tell... and a feeling that we’re never truly alone out there.
