Meet our teachers here at Mountain View Montessori:

Ms. Mary is one of our lead montessori teachers at Mountain View Montessori. She began her journey in traditional education. She has earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Bucknell University and most recently received her directors qualification in the state of Colorado. Over the course of the next several months, she will finish her Montessori Diploma program, through the North American Montessori Center. She has experience in play-based, hybrid, montessori, and traditional learning environments. Since discovering the Montessori Method, she has found a new love for learning and teaching and hopes to create a Montessori, nature-based learning environment for children of all ages to begin their journey to independence!

Outside of school, she loves to explore nature, thrift, and create new memories with her friends and pups. She has a large family in Pennsylvania that she visits whenever possible! Go PSU!

A Montessori work cycle is an uninterrupted period of time. Within this dedicated time, children are able to explore the prepared environment and engage with materials of their own choosing. The time is meant to give them opportunities to choose and practice the work they love, while also building basic life skills.

Mountain View Montessori loves their outside time. We have scheduled outside play time as well as go on nature walks where we talk about our environment and everything that lives in it. The children love our walks and show so much curiosity for their surroundings.
