🧊 It’s the little things!

Our staff lounge got a very cool upgrade with a brand-new ice maker, generously donated by a Pioneer family. Our staff is already loving it and so appreciative of the kindness and generosity that keeps our Timberwolf Pack feeling cared for. 💙

⏰ REMINDER: Late Start Friday! ⏰

Tomorrow, August 21, is our first PLC Late Start Friday! Late Start will happen every Friday going forward unless there is no school or a weather-related delayed start.

🐺 Doors open: 9:40 a.m.
🔔 School begins: 9:55 a.m.
🥞 Eating breakfast? Students may enter through the cafeteria (Door F) beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Things can get a little bananas in the front office, but thankfully, we have two amazing people ready to handle it all! 🍌🐺

We’re so happy to have Laura Hernandez, our Registrar, and Katie Lee, our Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper, keeping things running! They're our go-to for answering questions, helping families, and tackling whatever the day brings. We’re lucky to have them at the heart of our Pioneer pack!

Fifth Day of Fifth Grade! 🎉

It’s the fifth day of fifth grade, and our fifth graders are getting right to work! They’ve been focusing on the Four Cs—collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking—and put them into action by building spaghetti and marshmallow towers to represent those four pillars. 🍝

They’ve also started switching classes for math groups and jumped into their Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) writing.

Five days, five grades, and one great start to the school year at Pioneer! 🐺💙

Fourth Day of Fourth Grade! 🎉

It’s the fourth day of fourth grade, and our fourth graders are getting into the swing of things! They jumped into math, started learning about animal and plant adaptations, got their classroom economies and money systems up and running, and worked on building their reading routines. They also kicked off their first week-long specials rotation!

We peeked into the art room and caught students creating concept drawings for their upcoming clay sun faces—we can’t wait to see how they turn out! ☀️🎨

And the students weren’t the only ones getting a little first-week fun! A big thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Parker for dropping off a delicious surprise for our staff. It was a pretty sweet way to start the week! 🧁💙

Four days down… tomorrow it’s time to see what the fifth day of fifth grade has in store! 🐺

3rd Day of 3rd Grade! 🎉3️⃣

Our third graders packed a lot into their third day in third grade! They finished their All About Me banners, got creative building pipe cleaner statues, and stretched their imaginations with some very silly *Not So True* summer vacation stories. They reviewed classroom expectations, settled into their new routines, and even had a special visit from our Professional Learning Specialist, Angie Davis!

Three days down, and 3rd grade is officially underway! 🐺 On Monday, we’ll head over to the next hall to see what the 4th day of 4th grade holds!
