In light of recent cybersecurity attacks targeting water infrastructure in New Jersey, Mayor Misciagna and the Borough Council joined Congressman Josh Gottheimer and Senator Holly Schepisi in reinforcing the importance of protecting our community’s water systems and critical infrastructure.

We want our residents to know that Park Ridge Water continues to actively monitor and protect the technology systems that support our water infrastructure. At this time, there are no known credible cybersecurity threats, successful intrusions, or indications that the Park Ridge Water system has been compromised.

Our systems are protected by multiple layers of security, and the Borough continues to strengthen these safeguards in accordance with guidance and advisories from the NJCCIC, NJBPU, CISA, FBI, and other government agencies.

Park Ridge remains vigilant. We are taking the appropriate precautions, continuously monitoring our systems, and strengthening our cybersecurity measures to ensure our water infrastructure remains secure, protected, and resilient.

Our residents’ safety and the reliability of our water supply remain our top priorities. We will continue to stay proactive, prepared, and informed.

Important Update: Modified Lawn Watering Restrictions

The Park Ridge Board of Public Utilities is easing the current outdoor watering restrictions following continued improvements in water system conditions. Over the past couple weeks, cooler temperatures, rainfall, and the community's conservation efforts have allowed our water storage tanks to return to normal operating levels. Based on recommendations from our consulting engineers, a limited outdoor watering schedule can now resume while continuing to protect the reliability of our water system.

Please visit www.parkridgeboro.com for the full restrictions modification and high resolution map.

Today we bid farewell to our Director of Operations, Paul Longo, as he begins the next chapter of his retirement!!!

Paul began his career with the Borough as a Lineman in 2005. Through his dedication and commitment to serving the community, he was promoted to General Supervisor of the Electric Department in 2010, then moved into the role of Assistant to the Director of Operations in 2019, before becoming Director of Operations in 2021.

As Director of Operations, Paul played an important role in overseeing the Borough’s utility and public works operations, working closely with the Board of Public Works in the management of the Electric, Water, Sewer, and Public Works departments.
After many years of dedicated service to the Borough and our residents, we thank Paul for his commitment, leadership, and contributions to the community.

We wish Paul all the best as he begins this next chapter and enjoys a well-deserved retirement! 🎉
