Maine South Class of 1967 Reunion

Hi Classmate Friends…… 2027 is around the corner! We are planning a HAWKS get-together to celebrate 60 years since we left Maine South. Because the 55th reunion was a happy success, we will keep the same basic casual format. We have booked Saturday August 14, 2027 at The Harp & Fiddle, uptown in PR. We will gather at 5:00 and continue as long as we wish.
THIS IS A NO COST EVENT and NO TICKET IS NEEDED.
YOUR PRESENCE AND AN RSVP IS REQUESTED!
We have a private room booked for our party. There will be an appetizer table provided by the Reunion Committee funds. We will have a playlist of classic tunes to spark our memories, a table for yearbooks & other relics from our past. We will have a mix of standing room, tables & chairs. When you arrive, proceed to the back of the restaurant to the red balloons at “Studio 108”. When you are ready, a server will record your credit card on an iPad to cover your drinks and any additional food you wish to order during the evening. This worked quite smoothly for our 55th Reunion. You have likely seen all the great photos on this page.
THIS IS A WORD-OF-MOUTH EVENT and will be publicized on Facebook and the usual outlets, but please pass the word to friends & their siblings. No mailings will be done.

Park Ridge, like any vibrant village or city, the downtown area has parking challenges. And Main Street where the restaurant frontage patio seating is now, is a one way block! There is abundant space to park within a few block radius. Street parking can be found, or behind the old phone company, the Community Church, or the Library across the tracks. And Rideshare from hotels. We recommend Hilton Garden O’Hare, on River Road (nearest) and Rosemont has numerous handy hotels on River Road. BUT BOOK EARLY!
Come to revisit your old haunts like The Pickwick theatre, still operating on several screens and beautiful as ever. Maybe the Cubs or White Sox will be playing in town. Talk soon!

Sadly we share the news of the loss of our classmate Don “Ole” Olsen on May 3rd. We recall his passion for football, baseball, golf & most other sports. His face had a perpetual twinkle. R. I. P. Ole ❤️🤍🖤
