OAI 2026 Manufacturing Day was a success! 🎉

OAI brought together 58 students from 7 area high schools and 5 local manufacturers for a hands-on look at modern manufacturing, STEM, and career opportunities. Students from Argo High School, Eisenhower High School, Oak Lawn High School, Stagg High School, Sandburg High School, Reavis High School, and Andrew High School participated in this exciting experience, discovering firsthand how STEM plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry and the products and technologies we use every day

A special thank you to Accord Carton, Donson Machine Co, National Tube Supply Co. , Agrati Group, and Ability Engineering Technology Inc for opening their doors and giving students the opportunity to experience manufacturing in action.

The day concluded at Moraine Valley Community College, where students learned more about SouthWorks Robotics and how engineering, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving come together in real-world careers.

We’re also excited to announce that the next SouthWorks Robotics Competition will be held April 17, 2027!

Thank you to our schools, employers, and community partners for helping us inspire the next generation of manufacturers, engineers, and innovators.
