Another seminar in the books.
We had a spectacular weekend. The evenings were beautiful. Saturday the smoke would wax and wane over the course of the day as a result of the wind directions. Some of the sessions were more physical than others, but there is no better way to spend a day than training with friends, talking about philosophy, and ending the day with a pig roast.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this year at Moose Jaw for the Anniversary Seminar. In my humble opinion, it may have been one of the best in more than 50 years.

I'll be a Moose Jaw by about 2 today. It is a beautiful day in the northwoods, I can finally see the sky. Should be a fun weekend.

The anniversary seminar at Moose Jaw is still on, and we just want to update everyone on what is planned. After talking with other instructors regarding air quality, we have decided this year's seminar may become more of a philosophical discussion on the martial arts and life rather than a physical workout depending on the smoke situation.

We look forward to seeing everyone for the day. If you choose not to camp, lodging is available in Park Falls and Minocqua. Both are within a 20 mile drive from Moose Jaw.

Gathering with friends for a philosophical discussion and a pig roast is a nice way to spend the day!

Weather for the Anniversary Seminar this weekend at Moose Jaw Resort is looking good . The smoke is clearing and the temperatures will be cooler. Looking forward to a fun seminar, seeing old friends, and maybe making a few new ones!

Please note the pricing for our upcoming seminar which matches the seminar fliers that were mailed out a few weeks ago.

The following price reductions have been made this year.
Participants 12 years of age and under $20.00.
Spectators ten years of age and under, no charge.

These changes will make this fun and educational seminar more affordable for young students and their families.

I wanted to pass this information along to the Federation.
Mr. Jim Houle passed away recently, for those of you that have been around for a while he was one of the original members of the Federation. I myself had known him for almost 50 years and can say he will be missed. He was a friend and a mentor.

The following is information about the Jim and his wife Barbara's (who passed away a a few years back)
celebration of life. It will be held October 19th at the BS Bar in Medford WI.

I hope to see some of Jim's Martial Arts family there.

It's a great time for fellow martial artists to get together, workout, exchange ideas, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow martial artists in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin.
