🦷✨ Smile Programs the mobile dentists Makes a BIG Difference! ✨🦷

We are so grateful to Big Smiles Dentistry for visiting our school on August 24 & 25 to provide dental care to our students!

During their visit, they:
🦷 Saw 39 students
✨ Completed 67 dental sealants
😁 Completed 29 fillings
📚 Helped prevent an estimated 81.9 days of missed school!

Providing dental care right at school helps remove barriers for our students and families while allowing students to receive important care without missing valuable time in the classroom.

A huge THANK YOU to Big Smiles Dentistry for investing in the health, well-being, and success of our students! We appreciate your partnership and the difference you make in our school community!

🍦 Sundaes with the Superintendent! 🍦

Parents and guardians, we need your help! Please return your pink FRAM forms as soon as possible. These forms help Paris City Schools continue receiving funding that supports free breakfast and lunch for all students, along with other important programs and resources.

🏫 Each school that collects 100+ completed forms will earn a special treat: Sundaes with the Superintendent! 🍨

If you haven’t returned your form yet, please take a few minutes to complete it and send it back to school. Every form counts toward the goal!

We support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in partnership with the Paris-Bourbon County Public Library. In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 602 children in Paris & Bourbon County find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

A huge THANK YOU to Centerpoint Health - Paris and the Bourbon County Extension FCS/Homemakers for their generous donation of new shoes for our students! ❤️

Having properly fitting shoes is something many of us may take for granted, but for some of our students and families, it can be a significant expense. Donations like this help us remove barriers and make sure our students have what they need to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners who continue to show up for our students and schools. Thank you for helping us take care of our Little Hounds! 🐾

We are excited about our upcoming parent workshops and appreciate our partnership with the Bourbon County Extension FCS/Homemakers & Bourbon County Schools - Family Resource and Youth Services Centers!

Our first workshop will be held on Thursday, August 27 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the Fine Arts Center.

COMMUNITY UPDATE: If you are a current Kentucky Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipient who lives in a county listed below and lost food during severe storms beginning August 11, you have until Monday, August 31, to request replacement benefits.

Affected counties include: Allen, Barren, Bath, Boone, Bourbon, Bracken, Breathitt, Campbell, Carter, Casey, Clark, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Floyd, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Jessamine, Kenton, Knott, Lawrence, Leslie, Letcher, Lewis, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Nicholas, Owen, Owsley, Pendleton, Perry, Powell, Robertson, Rowan, Scott, Wolfe, and Woodford.

Reminder: A household can receive a replacement for the amount of food purchased with SNAP benefits that is later destroyed in a household disaster such as a fire, flood or power outage of four hours or more per Public Health Guidelines; all household disasters must be reported within 10 days of the household disaster.
