TCAT Henry/Carroll Community Connection 💙❤️

TCAT Henry/Carroll Cosmetology instructors Cecilia Casey and Jessica Sanders, along with Mr. David Earley from the Welding Technology program, recently had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Melissa Ridgeway’s summer school class at Paris Elementary School.

During the visit, students met TCAT representatives and participated in hands-on activities, giving them an early glimpse into the programs and opportunities available at TCAT Henry/Carroll as they begin thinking about their future career paths.

We extend a special thank you to Mrs. Ridgeway for welcoming our team and allowing our instructors to be part of such a meaningful experience!

Our first-term Nursing students, led by Instructor Kelli Braham, recently took a fun and meaningful dive into learning about different cultures as part of their Fundamentals of Nursing class.
The students explored the importance of providing compassionate care while respecting cultural differences and traditions. To bring their presentations to life, students dressed in attire representing the cultures they researched and prepared authentic dishes to share with the class.
The result? A delicious potluck-style meal featuring German, African, Hispanic, and Italian cuisine that was enjoyed not only by the class, but also several TCAT staff members!
Experiences like these help our future nurses build the understanding, empathy, and respect needed to care for patients from all walks of life. Great job, Nursing students!
