We were recently offered an advertising method that uses a person’s physical location to push advertising directly to their personal device.
We refused.
We do not support this methodology.
If someone walks into a grocery store, restaurant, school, church, or any other business, we do not believe that gives anyone the right to use your location to follow you and push advertising onto your phone or further into your private life.
We can advertise. We want people to know who we are and what we offer. But we will not trade Respect for Reach, and we will not use technology simply because it gives us the ability to intrude further into someone’s private space.
At Deo Gloria Jiu-Jitsu, respect and self-control are not slogans.
They are our standards.
We will not participate in advertising methods or technology built around tracking where people go.
Yes, we recognize there is some irony in posting this on Facebook. 😂 There is still a line somewhere. This is where we draw ours
