The Madrigals wrapped up a great year today by receiving Superior ratings for their performance at the TN ACDA State Choral Performance Assessment.

I am so proud of these students and the hard work they’ve put in all year. Their growth, dedication, and musicianship are evident in the consistent success they’ve achieved over the past couple of months.

Thank you to everyone who supports our program—we couldn’t do it without you!

Madrigal Audition Request Auditions will be held in the HCHS chorus room (73) the week of May 11th. The Madrigals are bringing home another GOLD from New York!! 🗽✨

In addition, the group received the Adjudicator Award—given to ensembles receiving an average score of 95 or higher (will be shipped).

This semester has been especially challenging. Between shortened class time, alternate schedules, weather interruptions, field trips, etc., we’ve had to make the most of every moment. These students rose to the challenge, putting in extra work both inside and outside the classroom— even meeting over spring break to prepare for festivals. A huge thank you to Mr. Jeremy O’Neal for taking the time to meet with us and provide such helpful feedback!

I could not be prouder of this group! They are all incredibly talented, hardworking, and a joy to be around.

You’ll have another chance to hear them this Saturday night, April 4th, at KPAC! The performance begins at 6PM and includes a dessert reception during intermission. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from a Madrigal or at the door.
