📞 🚨NECI 911 Officer & NJ Emergency Medical Dispatch Courses 🚨📞
We are now accepting registrations for the NECI 911 Officer & NJ Emergency Medical Dispatch Courses starting Fall 2026. These essential courses provide foundational training for individuals pursuing or beginning a career as a 911 emergency dispatcher.

Participants will receive instruction in:
▪️911 call taking
▪️Radio communications
▪️Dispatch procedures
▪️Professional and legal responsibilities of a telecommunicator

This course is designed to prepare students for the critical role of being the first point of contact during emergencies.

⚽ 🏆As the FIFA World Cup at New York New Jersey Stadium comes to a close, we want to recognize the incredible EMS professionals who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep hundreds of thousands of fans safe throughout the tournament.

We are especially proud of our EMS & EMT Instructors who were part of these dedicated teams. While the world watched the action on the field, they stood ready to respond at a moment's notice, providing expert medical care and ensuring the safety of everyone in attendance.

Hosting one of the world's largest sporting events takes years of planning and the commitment of highly trained professionals. Your dedication, professionalism, and service are an inspiration to both our students and our community.

🚨 The Specialized Technical Rescue Program (formerly Rescue Technician) is offered at the Bergen County EMS Training Center.🚨

Gain hands-on training in:
🪢 Rope Rescue • 🚗 Vehicle Extrication • 🚧 Confined Space • ⛏️ Trench Rescue • 🌊 Water Rescue • ☣️ Hazardous Materials • 🦺 SCBA

✅ Must be 18 years or older at the start of the course.
✅ NFPA-approved firefighting gear is required.
✅ Up to 24 elective CEUs are available for portions of the class.

🌡️ Bergen County Cooling Centers Open Today Through Thursday

With dangerous heat expected across our area, Bergen County cooling centers will be open today through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to cool off. (

If you don’t have access to air conditioning or need relief from the heat, please take advantage of these facilities. Remember to:
• 💧 Drink plenty of water
• 🧢 Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day
• 👵 Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those with medical conditions
• 🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a moment

🌧️ Flood Watch Reminder 🌧️

Heavy rain can quickly lead to flooded roads and hazardous conditions. If a Flood Watch has been issued in your area, stay alert and be prepared to act if conditions worsen.

🚗 Remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown®.

Never drive through flooded roadways. Just a few inches of moving water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

Avoid walking through floodwaters, which may be deeper than they appear and can hide dangerous debris or open manholes.

Monitor local weather updates and emergency alerts.

If flooding occurs, move to higher ground and follow instructions from local officials.

Your safety is the priority. Stay informed, stay prepared, and stay safe.

⚠️ Flash flooding can happen in minutes. Never drive through a flooded roadway. You don't know how deep the water is or if the road has been washed away.

🚗 Turn Around, Don't Drown.

Follow road closures, use an alternate route, and stay weather aware.
