Product Engineering 2026 🚀🔧🌟

This week, our campers became engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers as they explored the Engineering Design Loop—asking questions, imagining solutions, planning, creating, testing, and improving every step of the way.

From exciting design challenges to rocket launches and simulated space missions, every activity encouraged creativity and perseverance. Watching our young engineers tackle real-world challenges with curiosity and confidence was truly inspiring.

🚀 Build. Design. Test. Innovate.

Our Product Engineering Summer Camp is in full swing, and our incoming 9th–12th graders are diving into the engineering design process!

This week, campers are:
Learning the Engineering Design Loop
Brainstorming creative solutions to challenges
Designing, constructing, and testing their own prototypes
Refining their ideas through iteration, collaboration, and problem-solving

It's inspiring to watch these future engineers turn their ideas into reality while building valuable STEM and teamwork skills. It's going to be a great week! 🚀

As we wrapped up an incredible week at Rocket Girls Summer Camp, we're celebrating the curiosity, creativity, and confidence these amazing young women have shown every single day. 🚀✨

From solving challenges and building new skills to exploring the exciting possibilities of science, technology, engineering, and math, this week has been all about discovering what's possible.

We encourage them to look to the remarkable women of NASA's Artemis program as role models and inspiration. These women show us that there is a place for them in STEM fields. We remind them to keep asking questions, keep dreaming big and keep reaching for the stars!🚀✨

Our Rocket Girls learned about code, flew simulated space missions, tackled an egg drop engineering challenge, and discovered that STEM is all about curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

🚀✨ Day 1 of Rocket Girls Summer Camp was a success! ✨🚀

One of today's highlights was welcoming former Rocket Girls camper Nina Arcot, now a Manufacturing Systems Engineer focused on satellites and payloads at Northrop Grumman. Nina shared her journey from camper to engineer, offering a firsthand look at what it's like to build technology that supports space missions.

Her message was simple but powerful: "If you're interested in space, there's a place for you in the space industry." She also reminded our campers that it's okay not to have everything figured out—everyone is learning and finding their path as they go.

Thank you, Nina, for inspiring the next generation of engineers, scientists, and explorers. 🚀

That's a wrap on an incredible week! 🚀✨

Over the past several days, our campers investigated the challenges of long-duration spaceflight, strengthened their teamwork skills and discovered all it takes to launch the next era of space exploration.

And, of course, no mission would be complete without an unexpected plot twist... 🌪️🚨 Here's to the tornado warning that gave us one more story to tell and another challenge to navigate together!

It's a new week and a new camp! 🚀

This week we welcome incoming 7th and 8th graders for Next Generation Space Explorers camp! Throughout the week, campers will take on the exciting challenges of long-duration space exploration by thinking and working like aerospace engineers and scientists.

From designing and launching rockets to planning nutritious meals for astronauts and tackling simulated space missions, they'll investigate the science, engineering, teamwork and problem-solving needed to keep crews healthy, safe, and successful on journeys far beyond Earth.

We can't wait to see all they discover and learn this week! ✨

Last day of camp! 🚀

This week was filled with big questions and unforgettable experiences. Together, we searched for life in the universe and were reminded of just how much there is still to discover.

As this adventure comes to an end, we still haven't found what we're looking for—but the search is just beginning. We are excited for the next era of exploration!✨

Today our campers had the incredible opportunity to hear from Laura Jean Checki, who presented "Astrobiology: The Search for Life in the Universe." 🌎✨🚀

Through a visually engaging presentation, campers explored one of humanity's greatest questions: Are we alone in the universe? Laura explained how scientists search for life beyond Earth, what makes a planet potentially habitable, and how discoveries beyond our world could transform our understanding of life itself.

Our campers also had the chance to share what they learned throughout the week, making for an inspiring exchange of ideas and curiosity.

Laura left everyone with a powerful reminder: "You are responsible for being good stewards of the planet and of the universe." A message that encourages all of us to care for our world while continuing to explore the possibilities beyond it.

🚀 Our astronauts have been busy flying exciting space missions, creating incredible extraterrestrial creatures, and using their engineering skills to build maglev cars. They are almost ready to race. Oh, and we're having lots of FUN!

We can't wait for tomorrow!
