Earlier this week, Professor Winn, senior Jada Diaz, and freshman Mylie Harris had the privilege of joining others in the community at the Su***de Awareness Walk hosted by the Greene County Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition on the campus of Greene County Tech. These ladies were allowed the opportunity to volunteer, raise awareness, remember and honor those we’ve lost, and stand alongside others who have been impacted by su***de. Most importantly they were able to help share a message of hope: that no one has to walk through the hard seasons of life alone.

Opportunities like these allow our psychology students to take what we learn about psychology and mental health beyond the classroom and use it to serve, support, and make a difference in our community. 💜

The CRC Division of Business & Technology welcomes Coach Robert Cagle to its fourth annual Faith and Business Success Symposium on September 23. Coach Cagle has been part of the sports community for over 46 years.

During his high school career, Coach Cagle was named a 3-time All-Area team member, 2-time All-Region team member, 3-time All-Tennessee Valley and All-City team member, and USA Today's TOP 10 Big Men All-American in football. As a baseball player, Coach Cagle was named to the All-Area team twice, All-County team three times, All-Region two times, and All-State team. After his senior football season, Coach Cagle signed his National Letter of Intent and football scholarship with The University of Mississippi - Ole Miss. After his senior season of baseball in high school, he was approached by the Cincinnati Reds who wanted to draft him. He declined their offer and honored his commitment to Ole Miss and his dream of playing football.

At Ole Miss, Coach Cagle was selected to the ALL SEC Academic Team in 1987 and 1988. After his career, he served on the recruiting staff at Ole Miss. He holds a BA in Business Finance and Banking and has worked in corporate America in the automotive industry and in the finance industry. Coach Cagle serves at the Vice President of Public Relations at National Scouting Report, where he has been employed since 2008. He also serves as an Elder for the Eastern Shore church of Christ.

Local business leaders, students, and community members are invited to attend his session titled, “Timeouts, Turnovers & Touchdowns: Finding God’s Purpose in Every Play” at 10:00 am in the Carter Activities Center.
