Snow Day Creativity! βοΈπ¨
Today Miss. Oliviaβs class brought snow in from outside and used it as a painting tool! They explored what happens when paint meets snow and watched the colors swirl, melt, and change right before their eyes.
Through this activity, the children practiced so many important learning skills:
β’ Sensory exploration β feeling the cold, wet texture of snow
β’ Fine motor skills β holding brushes and tools while painting
β’ Creativity & self-expression β choosing colors and making designs
β’ Science & discovery β observing changes as the snow melted
β’ Language development β talking about what they noticed and felt
β’ Problem-solving β figuring out how to paint on a new surface
Hands-on experiences like this help children learn through play while connecting with the world around them. What a fun way to turn a snowy day into a learning opportunity! πβ€οΈπππ
