Professor Joshua Vermillion was invited to present his research and creative work at Universidad Piloto de Colombia in Bogotá as part of the Post-Digital and Experiential Reveal: New Creative Frontiers and Spatial Quality Symposium. His lecture, “Creative Machines: Human / Machine Praxis,” explored emerging relationships between human creativity, computational processes, and machine intelligence. The lecture was also published as an essay in the symposium’s edited proceedings.

The AI Architecture Awards (AIAA) is a digital laboratory dedicated to recognizing excellence in design facilitated by artificial intelligence. Joshua Vermillion delivered a keynote address titled, “Creative Machines: Rethinking Design in the Age of AI” at the New South Wales State Library in Sydney, Australia as part of the Vivid Sydney festival. Vivid Sydney is an annual festival of light, music, ideas, and food that transforms the city with art installations, projections, live performances, and talks. It's a major event showcasing creativity, innovation, and technology, with events across various locations like Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, and the Central Business District.
