Ridgeview students teamed up once again with our longtime partners from the Magalia Beautification Association (MBA), working Susan Cave's Medicine Wheel Garden behind the Magalia Post Office.

Blisters, sore backs, and tired feet didn’t stop this crew. They showed toughness, worked hard, and took pride in leaving it better than they found it.

A huge thank you to the Magalia Beautification Association for all they do to beautify, care for, and bring pride to our community and for giving our students opportunities to be part of it for more than a decade!

Up early, gloves on, trash pickers in hand, and ready to make a difference! These Ridgeview students spent their Saturday morning volunteering at Butte Environmental Council’s 39th Annual Bidwell Park and Chico Creeks Cleanup. Proud to see them taking service beyond Paradise and giving back to our neighboring communities. Thank you CC, Neveah, Drew, Shirley, Julieana, Gabe, James, and Jasmin !

Another great day of giving back, working together, and showing that small acts of service can make a big difference! Our students volunteered again at Global Empowerment Mission-West, this time packing backpacks filled with school supplies and T-shirts for orphaned youth in Hawaii. 🌺🎒🌺

Getting outside is good for the mind, body, and soul. Fresh air, exercise, good friends, mindfulness, and learning about ecology in our own backyard. Sometimes the best classroom is outside ❤️🌲🥾

For more than a decade, our students have had the opportunity to work out under the leadership of coach Aaron Singer 💪 Exercise does more than build strength, it boosts confidence, improves mental health, and helps students develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. We’re grateful for our amazing community partners who continue to invest in our students. Thank you Coach Singer 💛

The first couple of days back in the garden! 🌱 Shelley Sparkles has been working hard behind the scenes, writing grants to help expand our garden space and bring even more cooking classes to campus. We’re so grateful for her continued support in helping our students grow, learn, and connect through food and gardening! Butte County Local Food Network 💚

Students kicked off their 2026–27 school year volunteering at the Global Empowerment Mission-West warehouse in Chico packing Family Necessity Kits. Many of these students are survivors of the 2018 Camp Fire, making this opportunity extremely personal. Together, they filled 500 boxes knowing how much these supplies can mean to families who have been affected by the wildfires up in Washington State ❤️

Fishing is about so much more than just "the catch" (although reeling one in definitely makes the trip more fun! 😉) It's about slowing down, reconnecting with nature, sharing stories with friends, and making memories that last a lifetime. Time spent outdoors with friends is always time well spent 🎣🌲☀️
