Over the last two days, our Cherokee teachers and staff have been participating in Capturing Kids' Hearts training!

Capturing Kids' Hearts equips educators with strategies to build strong, positive relationships with students, creating classrooms where every child feels safe, valued, supported, and ready to learn.

The training also focuses on strengthening our own school culture through team building, relationship building, and truly getting to know one another. We are excited to bring these practices into our classrooms this school year and can't wait to share more at Curriculum Night about how Capturing Kids' Hearts will support our students and families.

What a successful first day back with our incredible teachers and staff! 🎉

We kicked off the year the best way we know how—a scavenger hunt team builder! Teams raced against the clock, working together to complete fun (and sometimes slightly crazy!) challenges, all while capturing hilarious photos and videos along the way. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.

It was the perfect way to launch our Team Cherokee theme and begin building the strong relationships that will help make this an amazing school year. ❤️🖤
