It's hard to believe, but this year marks Desert View Learning Center's fiftieth year! It is with great joy that we invite you to DVLC's birthday party on March 4th.

We are sad to share that another Desert View family has lost the father of the family. Robert Church passed suddenly Thursday night. He is the father to John, James and Riley and the wife to Jennifer Church.
There will be a meal train set up. Memorial services are being planned. As we have more information we will share.
Please keep the Church family close in your thoughts.

We had a special treat today in our cooking program! Charleen Badman, chef and co-owner of FnB restaurant (and 2019 James Beard Best Chef in Southwest Finalist!), led us through a delicious socca recipe. Charleen also heads Blue Watermelon Project (http://www.slowfoodphoenix.org/schoolwork/) which is a grassroots coalition that believes in equal and fair access to good food, and is working to enact food systems change from the ground up.
