4th, 5th and 6th graders have started their first W.O.W. (Wonderful Original Work) Art Projects. They have the choice of subject and media (drawing, painting or collage).

This past week, the littles have gotten to have art outside and go on a texture hunt! Many of them created collages in their sketchbooks with their texture rubbings.

Patriot artists have adapted SO well to art in the classroom. Like other parts of the day, it’s been different, but we’re making the best of it! I’m so happy to see each of them in person and watch them be creative again.

This year, each student has their own sketchbook. They’ve done things such as brainstorm ideas, practice drawing skills, make collages, and of course, sketch/doodle! Their sketchbooks stay in their classrooms so many of them use them throughout the week, not just during art class.
