As many of you classmates know we lost Dennis Stewart this month. His service will be June 12th at 11 a.m. at the Omaha National Cemetary. Dennis served in the USMC and was awarded many ribbons especially for marksmanship.
In May 1987 Dennis married Chris Bell in Gretna. Dennis loved his family, his music and being in the corps.
I got to know him in the sixth grade when we all attended the school across the street from Papillion JH.
Once we went to LVJH Dennis and I became closer since we were always on the "B" basketball teams. I found Dennis to be a good friend and someone you could get to know easily. Shared many laughs with him.
Recently, he and I had conversations on the phone about faith. He always asked very interesting questions. He and Chris are long time members at Aldersgate UMC in Bellevue. I wish he and I had remained closer friends after HS, but that is just how it goes. Please keep his family in your prayers. Anyone is welcome to attend the ceremony on June 12th at the Omaha National Cemetary. Semper Fi and God Speed my friend.

Here is an update for the Class Reunion. Friday evening we will do a bar tour of downtown Papillion. Papio Pub, Eagle's Club, Twisted Vine and Brownies. Each place will have 1982 song themed drink specials.
Saturday morning we will golf at Johnny Goodman GC 99th and harrison (Applewood) beginning at 10 a.m. We have two openings for players still. Please hang out afterwards for a quick awards ceremony. Several of us will be having breakfast at IHOP in LaVista beforehand.
The evening fun begins at 6 at Ref's 96th and Giles. We have a good part of the place reserved. You can catch dinner there or get dinner on your own. They were supposed to allow all of us dinner with a special menu but they changed their minds. Stick around as long as you like.
I think on Saturday morning Becky was going to give tours of the area for people who have been away a long time as well.

Class of 82ers. Rena carter Thornton is saying that Monday is the last day to order reunion shirts. I have included the shirt info here. If you have questions about the shirts contact her. Also, we are booked up on the golf outing. We are looking at making it a 2 person scramble. We will have pin prizes too!

Ok folks here's some basic information for Friday night 24 June. We have four participating pubs. Twisted Vine, Brownies, Papio Pub and the Eagles Lodge. Each pub will feature a beverage with an 80s music theme. Laura (my wife) and I will be in 1st Street Plaza at 6:00 pm to distribute your "pub crawl" cards. You can go to each bar and get checked off ideally sampling each drink.
Papio Pub will have a band and is doing a benefit for a Veterans organization. Eagles will have Karaoke. Twisted Vine usually has live music on Fridays. Should be fun and you can eat at several places.

We are within a month of our 40th class reunion. We still have room for one more foursome in our Saturday morning golf event. We will be doing a two person scramble. Pin prizes will be available. Friday night we will be hanging out in downtown Papillion checking out the local bar scene who will have drink specials for us. If you would like a reunion shirt or hat, contact Rena Carter Thornton. If you have any questions or need to know about lodging please let me know. Saturday evening we will still be at Ref's 96th and Giles. You can get dinner on your own or at Ref's. We will gather there beginning at 6!

Good evening class of '82ers. The 40th reunion is fast approaching. There has been a slight change to Saturday evening activities. We will still meet at Ref's at 96th and Giles from six to whenever. For dinner you will have the option of eating there or eating somewhere else. Ref's has good food but they are worried about being over whelmed in the kitchen.
On Friday night we will be touring the drinking establishments in downtown Papillion. Gerry Schwartz will be posting more about this night later.
We still have one foursome tee time left for Saturday morning golf at Johnny Goodman GC (Applewood). We begin at 10 a.m.
Becky Hopkins is offering tours of Omaha Saturday morning at 9 and there will be a school tour Saturday morning as well.

Good morning class of '82! The reunion is just around the corner. We still have tee times for the golf outing Saturday morning (June 25) available.
We also now have shirts you can order! Rena Carter Thornton is handling this through her business. You can pick them up at the reunion or order beforehand and have them shipped. Thank you Rena for giving us good prices and to Tony Fugit for taking on this task!

Class of '82ers. If you don't want to golf on June 25th and would rather do a lunch and tour of Papillion and Omaha with Becky Hopkins then let her know by May 15th. You can text her at 402-616-4521. You all will meet on the north side of the HS at 11 on that Saturday. We also still have golf openings. Thanks!

Good morning fellow class of '82! A few updates on the upcoming reunion. Remember, it is on June 24 and 25. On the evening of the 24th we will be hanging out in downtown Papillion from 6 O' Clock on supporting various establishments.
Saturday the 25th we will have a school tour at 9 a.m. at the high school. At 10 a.m. we will golf at Johnny Goodman GC (Applewood) 99th and Harrison. We have 12 slots still available. Make your own foursome or let me know you want to play and I will put you in a group.
That will be followed by dinner at Ref's 96th and Giles. Order off menu.
