One of our friends from Pre-K brought a special farm book to share with our Toddler 1 class, and we had so much fun exploring it together! 🐄🐷🐑

The toddlers took turns pulling out the different farm animals, naming them, talking about their colors, and practicing the sounds each animal makes. They also loved feeling all of the different textures throughout the book.

We love moments like this where our little ones get to learn, explore, and interact with some of the “big kids” at TTYC. 💛

To all of our TTYC graduates heading off to their first day of kindergarten today—we are so proud of you! We’ve loved watching you learn, grow, laugh, and make memories with us through the years, and now we get to cheer you on as you begin this exciting new chapter.

We are proud to celebrate Ms. Lillian and Ms. Courtney for completing the Nebraska Department of Education’s First Connections certification!

This 45-hour professional development program equips early childhood educators with the knowledge and skills to build positive, responsive relationships with infants and toddlers while strengthening their understanding of child development, family partnerships, health and safety, and social-emotional learning.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment to continuing their education and providing the very best care for the children and families at Through the Years Childcare.

☔ Learning From the Little Things

One of our toddler classes took a break to watch the rain and talk about all the good it does for the world around us. Together, they learned how rain helps plants grow and discovered that, just like flowers and trees, our bodies need water to grow and stay healthy too.

It’s amazing how a simple rainy day can turn into a meaningful learning experience. Sometimes the best lessons happen when we slow down, look outside, and let curiosity lead the way.

From the first outline to the final masterpiece. 🎨✨

Our Pre-K artists turned a simple shadow into something extraordinary! After tracing their own silhouettes, each child used colors, patterns, and plenty of imagination to transform their outline into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Once every piece was complete, they came together to create one incredible collaborative mural.

This project encouraged children to observe, create, and express themselves while strengthening hand-eye coordination and showing how individual contributions can come together to make something truly special.

We are so proud of our little artists and all of the creativity they poured into this colorful masterpiece! 💜

✨ Say hello to our new Infant 2 classroom! ✨

Designed for our Movers & Shakers (12–18 months), this new space gives our littlest explorers even more room to learn, play, and reach exciting milestones.

This expansion also allows us to welcome four additional infants into the Through the Years Childcare family, helping us meet the growing need for quality infant care in our community.

We’re so grateful for the trust our families place in us. We can’t wait to watch our newest Movers & Shakers thrive! 💙
