Community Through Song & Stage Our Mission:
We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant community through the transformative power of music and theatre.

Community Through Song & Stage is a performing arts and music school offering voice, piano, guitar, acting, and performing arts programming on the upper Main Line in Southeast Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide high-quality instruction and professional training to every student we meet. We place special emphasis on healthy, age-appropriate voice and music instruction. We offer engaging and ed

ucational summer and year-round musical theatre programming that not only enhances performance skills but also cultivates lasting friendships and a sense of camaraderie among cast members. Recognizing the importance of individualized attention, we maintain small cast sizes to provide equitable opportunities for all participants. At the core of our mission is the belief that every child is unique, and we meet them exactly where they are. By creating a nurturing environment that encourages risk-taking, we empower our young performers to explore their creativity and express themselves with confidence. We understand that performing arts and music education are not just about honing artistic skills; it's a pathway to developing confident, creative, and well-rounded humans. 🎭 Teen Audition Workshop at CTSS!

Mondays | October 5 - November 23, 2026

Auditioning is about so much more than singing the right song or choosing a good monologue.

This 8-week workshop is designed to help teen performers better understand who they are as artists and walk into auditions feeling prepared, confident, and comfortable with what they bring to the room.

Students will work on:

🎤 Choosing songs that showcase their voice
🎭 Selecting and coaching monologues
💃 Navigating dance and movement calls
🎬 Mock auditions and audition etiquette
📹 Audition tapings and self-tapes
💪 Managing nerves and building confidence
⭐ Understanding their individual strengths, type, and artistic identity

We'll start with a mock audition, spend the following weeks developing each part of the audition process, and finish with a final audition and taping.

A great fit for teens who are actively auditioning AND those who want to become more confident, prepared performers.

Congratulations to the spectacularly talented cast of CTSS's Something Rotten! 🍳✨

Every year it's an absolute pleasure to welcome back the familiar faces that have been with us through the years and witness, first hand, the strides they're making. It's even more thrilling to usher in the new faces as we attempt to make each experience memorable and educational. This Summer put heavy emphasis on FUN! Something Rotten is such a high-energy, entertaining story that allowed each actor to make choices and be featured.

We are so endlessly proud of the growth and commitment to the bit we saw from each and every student. Thank you for another amazing Summer!

We've made a few changes to our daytime schedule to create stronger classes, larger ensembles, and an even better experience for our students!

Designed for homeschool and cyber school students ages 10-18, our daytime programs offer professional performing arts training in a fun, supportive community.

Build skills in voice, acting, movement, musicianship, audition technique, and stage presence.

Something Rotten is the tale of two struggling playwright brothers who are tired of losing to the rockstar of the Renaissance: William Shakespeare. Desperate to beat him, they consult a soothsayer who mistakenly predicts that the future of theater is... musicals, leading them to create the world's first one. What follows is a hilarious, chaotic love letter to Broadway packed with Shakespeare jokes, over-the-top musical numbers, and theatrical mayhem.

MEET THE CAST: Zack Leonard [Brother Jeremiah]
Zack is a 16 year-old performer from West Chester. Recent roles include Rev Shaw in Footloose, Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Gleb in Anastasia, and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. Zack is a rising junior at CPFA and studies voice at CTSS. He would like to thank Nick, Emi and the staff of Something Rotten for making this show great.

Elle is a rising freshman in Conestoga High School, at 14 years old. They are very excited to participate in this show with such an amazing cast! Previously they were in Company [Larry] and Beetlejuice Jr. [Ensemble]. They also really enjoy drawing and playing the trumpet.

MEET THE CAST: Annabel Reeder [Robin Goodfellow]
Annabel Reeder is egg-cited to return to CTSS for one last performance before college. Annabel is a recent graduate of Conestoga High School, where she was a choir officer for the Camerata and Concert choirs, co-president of the student-led a capella group Pitches Please, flute section leader for the Marching Pioneers, and a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She also enjoyed working on TETV’s Good Morning Stoga broadcast throughout her years. Annabel has performed in numerous plays and musicals, both at Stoga and in community theater, earning lead, supporting, and featured roles. In 2024, she placed 1st in the Classical Treble category at the Greater Philadelphia NATS competition. More recently, she was honored to receive 2nd place in the 2026 Chester County Choral Society competition, the Director’s Choice for Chorus award from Stoga Music, and the Association of Church Musicians in Philadelphia Award. She thanks her family, Katherine Mallon-Day for her vocal coaching, and Emi & Nick for making this summer a crackin’ good time.

When Percy Jackson discovers he's the son of the Greek god Poseidon, his life is turned upside down as he's sent on a quest to recover Zeus's stolen lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods. Joined by his friends Annabeth and Grover, Percy battles monsters, uncovers secrets, and discovers the true meaning of friendship, courage, and destiny. Filled with unforgettable songs, laugh-out-loud moments, and epic adventures, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is a thrilling experience for the whole family!

⚡PEYTON GAY [Auntie Em]
Peyton Gay is 13 years old, a lover of theater and the arts, and a big Percy Jackson fan. She currently attends Lionville Middle School. One of her favorite theater memories was singing a solo while participating in the musical Back in Time in 5th grade. Her other interests include drawing, learning to play instruments, watching anime, participating in club volleyball, camping, and engaging in community service with her Girl Scout Troop. Peyton wishes to thank her friends, Mom, Dad, and Nana for supporting her interest in theater.

⚡JP HARBESON [Chimera]
J.P. is 11 and is going into the 5th grade at Valley Forge MS. He has performed in Seussical Jr., Wizard of Oz, Newsies and Cinderella at the Upper Main Line YMCA. He also loves to play baseball, play the drums and read. He would like to thank the awesome directors of Lightning Thief, his sister, Hope, and his parents, for all of their help and support!

⚡IZZY SCIARRA [Annabeth]
Izzy is a 15 year old who goes to Great Valley High School. She is so excited to be a part of The Lightning Thief again! She previously played Silena Beauregard in The Lightning Thief at GV High School this past year. She also has played Barbara in Beetlejuice (CTS), Tommy in Matilda (GV Middle School), Arista in Little Mermaid (CTS), and countless roles at SALT Performing Arts including Queen Iduna (Frozen), Chimney Sweep (Mary Poppins), and Rabbit (Winnie the Pooh). She has been taking voice lessons with Nick Harmantzis for many years and enjoys writing music and singing in her free time. She would like to thank all her friends and family for always supporting her and coming to watch her shows!

⚡VIOLET CHENG [Sally]
Violet Cheng is a rising freshman at CPFA/USP. Outside of theater, she loves reading, crochet, animals, dance, and math. Favorite show credits include: Mary Poppins at SRP (Ensemble), Seussical Jr. at Uptown (Gertrude), Beetlejuice Jr. at SALT (Sky), and Big Fish at PCS (Scout/Ensemble). ⚡ALIVIA LYNCH [Bianca]
Alivia is 13 years old and will be in 8th grade in the fall. She is thrilled for the opportunity to perform The Lightning Thief with Community Through Stage and Song and would like to thank her whole family for always supporting her theatre goals and dreams! Past roles include Frozen Jr (Middle Anna), Newsies Jr (Les), Mary Poppins (Jane Banks), Annie (Annie), Finding Nemo Jr (Nemo), The Sound of Music (Gretl).

⚡AZLYNN BRENENBERG [Thalia]
Azlynn is excited for her debut performance at Community Through Song. Recently she performed in the ensemble in Merrily We Roll Along at Barley Sheaf and as Juno and Maxine in Beetlejuice at SALT Performing Arts. She is excited to perform in one of her favorite shows and to have a script with so much humor and character. When she is not onstage, Azlynn enjoys writing and listening to music, creating elaborate and colorful make-up looks, reading her favorite books, and trying new recipes– for better or worse. Azlynn is grateful to the cast and directors for making her first show with Community Through Song such a great experience!

⚡ELLE MENDECINO [Grover]
Elle is 14 years old and this is their 3 production with CTSS and overall. Last year they were featured in Beetlejuice Jr and they were also seen as Larry in Company this past spring. When not doing theatre, Elle plays the trumpet and likes to draw.

⚡EMME NEY [Hades]
Emme is 13 years old and this is their second Summer with CTSS. When not doing theatre, they enjoy crocheting and cooking.
