What a way to end an AMAZING first week! Today, our Roadrunners participated in our very first fire drill of the school year, practicing how to respond safely and calmly in the event of an emergency.

And WOW—our students did an OUTSTANDING job! 🌟 They followed directions, stayed together, and were so incredibly quiet that you could hear a pin drop! 🤫

Several of our teachers and staff shared that it was one of the BEST fire drills they have ever seen! 👏👏👏

We are SO proud of our Roadrunners for showing us what it means to be SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL, and PRESENT!

We are so happy you were able to join your child/children on campus for the first two days of school! Beginning tomorrow, Friday, August 14th, Ranchito will resume being a Closed Campus. Thank you for your understanding.

Back to School Night is on Tuesday, August 25th from 5:00-6:00 pm. We will look forward to seeing you then!

School Safety Tips

- Obey all traffic signs and speed limits when driving near schools.

-Do not park in bus loading zones.

-Don’t load or unload children across the street from the school.

-Never jaywalk-please use crosswalks.

-Do not do a U-turn in the middle of the street.

-Do not double-park.

-Do not block our neighbor’s driveways or move their trash cans.

-When using our safety valet, students should have backpacks and other belongings ready to go.

Please do your part to help us keep ALL children safe.

Dear Ranchito Families,

Thank you for helping us have a wonderful and successful first day of school! It was so exciting to welcome our Roadrunners back and see our campus filled with students and families. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and support as we begin the new school year and establish our routines.

A few important reminders for tomorrow, Thursday, August 13:

• Parents may enter campus from 7:30–7:55 a.m.

•The warning bell rings at 7:55 a.m. At that time, all parents must exit campus so that instruction can begin.

•Parents arriving after 7:55 am will not be allowed to enter campus. Please plan accordingly.

•Staff will be available to assist our younger students and any students who need additional help.

Please note that beginning Friday, August 14, we will resume our closed campus policy. Parents will say goodbye to their children at the gate, and students will enter campus independently. Staff will be available to support students who need assistance.

Traffic & Safety Reminders 🚗
Please help us keep our students, families, and neighbors safe during arrival and dismissal. Do not double park, stop in unsafe areas, or block our neighbors’ driveways. Please drive slowly, remain alert, and follow all traffic and safety rules around our school.

First Day of School: Wednesday, August 12

Families, please remember:
-Parents/guardians may come onto campus on August 12 & 13 to help with the back-to-school transition.
-Gates open at 7:30 AM
-Parents must exit campus by 7:55 AM
-Dismissal is at 2:23 PM (12:30 PM for PAL Program)
-Please review the map for your child’s assigned arrival and dismissal gates.

We can’t wait for a year filled with learning, growth, and leadership!

Standing room only! 🤩 We had an amazing turnout for our PAL, TK, and Kindergarten Orientation today! 💙💛

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers — Mrs. Sandoval, Ms. Peña, Mrs. Palmieri, Ms. Flores, Ms. Ruano, Mrs. Albelo, and Mrs. Choi — for welcoming our families and helping prepare our youngest Roadrunners for a great start!

Thank you also to Ms. Lukaszewski, Mrs. Wee, and Ms. Ana for helping ensure all of our families felt welcomed and informed.

And a special thank you to our parents and families for the incredible turnout! Your partnership and support mean so much. We are excited for a wonderful school year ahead!
